Altogether now......."Leeds, Leeds are falling apart again"
They left it late this time around. Looked to underestimate Derby a bit, and counted their chickens.
The West Yorkshire derby* is back on next season...
*= Sorry, too soon?
I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a little bit of schadenfreude... but I'm not sure we'll be able to continue our recent good record against you. I have missed the local derbies the last two years though.Bet that's made your season.

When's the petition calling for play-offs to be scrapped starting up?
We've won the last three derbies, despite a much lower playing budget (at the time). I agree that two downsides of the derby are silly kick-off times (though you lot have those almost every week anyway thanks to Sky) and the idiots on both sides. Especially as I live between the two places.Recent good record? You don't have any recent good records
I've not missed them, it barely registers. It's got all the allure of playing any other Pennine mill town team with the added inconvenience of 12 O'clock kick offs, turgid football and a load of pond life who get a bit too giddy. Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Barnsley and one of Villa/Derby are much more interesting fixtures.

But I know you don't care about us at all, that's why you never mention us... oh, wait.
Of the two, I'd back Villa to do it... but with the play-offs you never know.Who would people prefer to be promoted?
I rip on Villa quite a bit but they’re an otherwise inoffensive outfit with a fine history. I’d quite like to see them in the PL.
FFP is designed to keep the big boys at the top and the small boys down in their place. And if you break FFP what happens...you get a fine! An absolute joke.
It will be interesting to see the final FFP outcome of the investigation into Manchester City, as the implied threat of not being to participate in the next Champions League fixtures would have financial implications far in excess of a fine.
I have a ticket for the CL final in Madrid , following a ballot held by LFC for all qualifying Season Ticket holders who entered.
I am not going though as the whole cost of going is way to expensive for 1 game of football ( Tickets £60 - £500 + travel costs).
I sold it to a mate (at cost price) who had his accomodation and coach travel booked already.
I'd imagine that the reason they currently play in the Scottish league (travel distances to away games) will still apply:- so I imagine their preference will be to enter the Lowland League. Though with Cove coming from the Highland League that does complicate things. Is there much history in Scotland of teams making "sideways" moves between the regional leagues?
If they were to enter the English pyramid, I imagine they'd have to enter at a fairly low level of the non-league system.
There is always that chance, but I already knew someone who wanted it more than me !That was jolly decent of you, I hope you don't come to regret the decision if Liverpool win.
Being there for a triumph like seeing your team winning the Champions League could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Street word: tony pullis has left boro
I can't think of anything in particular to back this up, but I feel that a lot of Mark Hughes sackings have been in response to temporary blips in form.I heard Mark Hughes on the tranny the other day mentioning length of time that managers have nowadays in football, with the chairperson seeming to demand unrealistic expectations in very short timescales. I think this may have been a response to Chris Hughton leaving Brighton.
I thought to myself that Hughes has not really had much of a successful managerial career himself, as although things improve when he first takes over a side, the second season his managerial skills soon get found out.
That will be him done won’t it? Horrendous brand of football, and not a very nice person.
This coming Saturday will see the second-leg of the Scottish League Two play-off final between Berwick Rangers and Cove Rangers, with Cove Rangers holding a 4-0 win in the first leg. As Berwick Rangers are a club from outside Scotland, what will happen if they lose this final on aggregate?
I think Berwick will join the Lowland League and the Highland League will work around losing a member. Tweedmouth Rangers, also from Berwick, currently play in the East of Scotland League - the league below the Lowland League. This coming Saturday will see the second-leg of the Scottish League Two play-off final between Berwick Rangers and Cove Rangers, with Cove Rangers holding a 4-0 win in the first leg. Player-managers are a rare breed these days!
