How many 166s still have the FGW blue livery? Or are they all re-liveried now?
Still the same as previous lists AFAIK.

Approximately how long is it going to be until 158763 is off for refurbishment?
Okay thanks, I had hoped it'd be longer than that.Next week assuming the 158 that is there comes out.
Is this going to be a permanent formation?158960 now in GWR Livery BUT has since disappeared and has become 2 Car 158769. The odd vehicle will match with the odd one from 961
Is this going to be a permanent formation?
Yes. 158956-158961 all reverting to 2 Car
800020 had the logos yesterday. Also, on the IET front, ALL the IETs now have the nose end logos, 1st Class headlight, bike stickers etc. except for the following units:

Why were they missingDoes history relate as to whether 158763 is in works for its overhaul?

The original contract did not specify them. They are 'extras'/mods that must be added after the fact, which needs the unit to be in depot for long enough to apply them. Many other things are a higher priority. Why were they missing
Saw 158763 earlier today looking spick and span both inside and out, although the GWR nose logos are lower down on the door than on the rest of the fleet. Is today it’s first day in service since refurbishment?
I'm not really up to date with this but I might as well ask as this seems like the right thread, why don't the seats in the Class 800s and 802s have the green cloth headrest like on the other GWR trains?
Thanks158763 operated 1F34 19:23 PMH - CDF on Thursday 10th Oct
So the spec meant the new covers couldn't have the green headrest?Because the DfT specified the interiors (directly on the 800s, indirectly on the 802s with their “must be internally identical spec” caveat in authorising their purchase).
Probably, yes.So the spec meant the new covers couldn't have the green headrest?

I assumed it was because the green is almost identical to the green grab handles, thus falling foul of the regulation that grab handles must contrast with the immediately adjacent surfaces.Because the DfT specified the interiors (directly on the 800s, indirectly on the 802s with their “must be internally identical spec” caveat in authorising their purchase).

Don't see why GWR are so restricted - they changed the seating moquette in the IEPs to add the pattern (rather than plain grey), so should have further modified to add the green headrest. LNER's 800s/801s are also DfT specified, but feature a much brighter red interior which reflects the brand (albeit that of Virgin East Coast). Why do the GWR's IEPs require a neutral interior when LNER's do not? Those Grab pieces could be any contrasting colour against the fabric - as they are on 150s/158s/HSTs. DfT specified a neutral scheme, and it took some hard negotiations to get it as GWR-esque as it is.
