Dover, Ramsgate? Infact I would probably even go as far as saying kent? Since I believe that the Intercity trains that went to Dover were 47s + Mk2s?, Ramsgate Similar (although I've heard Deltics were used as well?, I've never actually seen on in service though)

Are there any passenger routes on the network that an HST could travel to, but so far hasn't?
For example, has an HST ever reached Oban, Mallaig, Kyle of Lochalsh or Wick/Thurso?
NMT has![]()
St Albans Abbey line?
Perth to Fremantle?
Very funny!
Although it couldn't as its a standard gauge train init! Mind you it does beg the question as to whether the XPT ought to do a run from Sydney to Perth for the sheer hell of it.
Yes, the NMT is a HST![]()
Not sure if a HST has been to Dereham (Mid Norfolk Railway), but one could be heading there on May 14th and/or 15th.
Perhaps the most unusual place a HST has been is the Great Central Railway (although only on test and didn't carry passengers there).
Back in 2005 when quite a bit of HST stock was in store at Minehead, a HST was used in passenger service at the West Somerset Railway diesel gala.
I recall visiting minehead that year, whilst the gala was one, it was a ex virgin liveried HSt wasnt it?

Don't recall one ever having travelled up the west cumbrian coast line.............................unless somebody knows different !
