Was actually 1-6 high level, 7 closed, then 8-16 beforehand. Will be 1-9 through and 10-15 terminating after.

I take it from the week beginning Jan 5, which is the last week of through Charing Cross services, it'll require using the Southern gateline and travelling via the subway retail outlets to get to platforms 1-6?

Nope, footbridge still open for that week. It goes on January 11th.

P5,6 will be permanently closed from the 11th.
Initially Up CHX services will use the Up Loop, Down CHX will use P4 but not stop.

So only access to P1-3...

The contingency plan is to run the current timetable so maybe the wrong poster has gone up.

I can categorically state that the programme is running to time, and that these posters have not (or should not have) gone up. Indeed the service contingency plan is on a day by day basis, and not a full week.

Someone is making mischief.

I heard of a small delay, but only of the few hours mark and nothing too worrying.

I bet the journalists would like it to be delayed. Then they can have another go at Network Rail or am I being to cynical here?

Well that's a good sign, the test trains are going in. :)

So after an 'exciting' day today, all indications are that services will resume tomorrow as planned.

That will disappoint a few journalists who were probably hoping to be able to write a bash Network Rail news report.

Just in case you were interested, attached is what the station currently looks like from above.

Thanks for this.

interesting to see the platform 9 wall is gone. It was meant to be listed i think so i dont know what has happened to that.

So the space is there for platforms 7, 8 and 9 which will be high level and 8 and 9 being for Charing cross services.

I'll be driving in and out of LBG tomorrow.

All gone wrong now

Looks like a problem with the points on the scissors outside P15.

Good news is they have moved the hoarding back at the signal box end of P15 (though not at the more useful gate line end.)

Access to the underground from the concourse was taped off in the down direction due to an escalator fault.
