I hope some of the deckers are marked for the 1 route. I was on the 1 not long ago and it was like a tin of sardines. I know there is no point putting the whole of service on deckers but the smaller ex londoners would be perfect for this I think.
the 49 is like this too. again, the small deckers would go down a treat on this service

If they can waste £16K on private plates i'm sure fitting some tip ups won't bother them! Anyway, it will be interesting to see how this new found duel door obsession progresses.

Ah the Private plates , always causes a divide , personally i dont see the point of them

Lothian coach (thought to be 72 (H72 NFS)... the reg. plate isnt kicking around...) being preserved by Lothian, currently undergoing bodywork and chassis repairs including the reversal of that awful facelift.

I've just done an image search for it. I wish I hadn't seen that facelift now - it's enough to give anyone nightmares! It'll be good to see it restored, though - presumably in the original black/white livery?

Looks stupid, why do they need to pointlessly cover all the windows like that with the blue vinyl?

It's an advert, someone else is paying for it, they can have it applied however they want. It's a service mainly used by employees so the public wont really see it.

I know that, however buses have windows for a reason!

Although I agree with you Lothian will be paid a significant amount not to care. It's also dotted, so you can see through it. Isnt it called contravision or something? Not ideal but better than nothing.

I thought they'd rebranded to Standard Life Aberdeen, seeing this I'm assuming that's just the legals and they still sell products as services under the old brand! Otherwise... Oops!

The previous standard life solo was rebranded in its later days with Standard Life Aberdeen. Unsure why it's been dropped now though.

The 'Standard Life' part of the business was bought from Standard Life Aberdeen by the Pheonix Group last year. They have use of the Standard Life brand now. That's the part of the business that this bus is promoting.

Standard Life is now part of the Pheonix Group. They are a separate company to Standard Life Aberdeen now.

....I never thought that they were pretty buses to begin with....
That all over advert certainly hasn't helped.....made it even uglier (which I didn't think was possible :s)

Driver on 698 said that 700 was available too.. Vehicle tracker removed from 698
He was hoping to have an older bus to drive.
It replaced 135, which I was waiting for.
135 came out to play again after an hour or so so got on It eventuality.
