Thanks to @OmniCity999 for posting this in the Lothian Group thread. LVF.io is a site that can be used to view fleet details of a number of organisations, currently: London, Reading, Edinburgh (Lothian), Ensignbus & Metrobus
I'll keep the thread locked for now - if there are any significant updates, please report this post and we'll update it.
LVF.io - This website shows real time stop to stop and historical tracking per vehicle. It can be used for a range of different things, but i'm just going to point out the basics.
www.lvi.io > in the search field type "mode lrt" (without speech marks) > to search a vehicles History, type History XXX
(XXX being the chosen fleet number - short form numbers such as 65 should be typed as such and longer form such as 1125 as such. Three digit numbers should be typed as their three digit number e.g 334. I say this as numbers are often quoted as 0065 etc)
Registration plates can also be searched for example LB10BUS will show the history usage of 20950.
Searches can be conducted using service numbers, for example "history 113" will show all buses used on service 113 since lvf.io records began.
If you need to search for for example bus 6's history and not route 6, you need to obtain it's registration plate. These can be obtained by the many fleet-lists available online, Bus Lists on the Web, Flickr, or even Google.
More information can be found on the LVF help page. If unsure, just play around, it's not going to break.
Finlay Smith - This website shows real time live tracking of services overlaid on Google Maps. (Named after the person who created it at UNI)
Finlay Smith Tracking - Goto site > search by fleet number. You can also search by field for example 65-95 and it will show all 30 eVoRa's in real time.
You can also search by fleet, brand or service number (handy).
Buses shown off the coast of Ghana have their trackers turned off or the system cant trace them so puts them into this map safe zone. Certain buses have different safe zones so may show up elsewhere.
*The Motorcoaches fleet is not shown on either tracking service as their trackers are set to private for company eyes only. This wont change. Also, buses dont have "names" in the Lothian fleet and as such cannot be searched in this way.
