I'll be sat at home with the family doing all the normal Christmas things like eating, drinking, present opening, watching Her Majesty's Christmas Address and going to a cemetery to visit the one person who was more special to me than Classes 142-144
Reading that (and noting that the story of the Christmas Nativity was written by St Luke) just reminded of Homer Simpson, on realising he's just drunk more than his stomach can handle, saying "Uh oh. Here come's the Gospel according to St Puke."
Special thoughts go out to everyone who will be working today and tomorrow (in hospitals, emergency services etc), and those who otherwise can't be at home/with family.
Had a glance at the signal diagrams this morning and struck by the number of people who must be out on the tracks this Christmas working for our benefit. Thanks to you too.
Merry Christmas, although I don't really know anyone who treats it as anything other than a day to get presents, have a special dinner, or a day off. Perhaps we're just miserable festiveless sods down in Hastings.
