Starts as 1S00 on Monday to Friday and follows that diagram. Only Southport 777 at the moment
I'm not sure what you're trying to tell me. Not what the Southport 777 diagram is surely, as I was the one who told you that a couple of days ago ;)

I was wondering when we'll get to the stage when 50x will have no booked work on any route except Southports. :D

As from this coming Wednesday 507/8s should (!) only be on the New Brighton, Southport and Hunts Cross lines with all other lines operated by 777s Mon to Sat. Sundays will still see a mixture for the next few weeks.
Thanks. Hopefully the New Brighton diagram will go over to 777 soon.

If anyone's looking for 507001, it's working the 1028 Southport to Liverpool South Parkway - and should remain out all day on subsequent trips as below:

1028, 1228, 1428, 1628 ex Southport.
1127, 1327, 1527, 1727 ex Liverpool South Parkway.

It's at the South Parkway end of a six car formation.

A nice Boxing Day surprise today is 507023 and 507032 on Aintree expresses, working the xx.58 departures from Liverpool Central. 777007 forms the xx.28 runs.

Thanks very much, I'll hopefully have finished breakfast by then and should get it at Waterloo

So are we saying that at the moment 507s are diagrammed to Chester and Ellesmere on Sundays as I know that in the week they will only appear as substitutes for failures. Many thanks

So at present Mondays to Saturdays all Chester/Ellesmere Port diagrams are 777 booked.
On Sundays 1 of the 3 Chester and 2 of the 3 Ellesmere Port diagrams are booked for 507/8s. This is expected to change during January though to all 777s.

Also on Southports today were 507.002+508.108; all the other South Parkway / Southports were 6 car formations.

There was also an unidentified 6 car formation on the New Brighton line.

777.017 and 777.024 were parked at West Kirby, with 777.020 & 777.028 sharing the passenger workings.

The Southport line had 507001 + 507021, 507002 + 508108, 507015 + 507017 and 507018 + 508104 today, whilst 507004 + 507011 and 507016 + 507031 were the New Brighton formations.

507023 + 507032 also resurfaced for afternoon Aintree to Central non-stop trains, running the first one off Aintree at 15.20. Great to do this for likely the last time.

I was hoping for 6 cars on the West Kirby line for one final time, however as outlined above class 777s were working the West Kirby line.
Had a great ride on 507001 running up to Southport this morning, very spacious.
Also experienced the Aintree express service on 507023 this afternoon.

With the West Kirby line due to be worked by class 777s from this week, it seems there will be a surplus of 507/08s for the next few weeks. Could we expect to see any increased capacity/6 cars on the Southport-Hunts Cross line at peak?

As long as possible hopefully. I’m hoping they last on there till at least March/April time as the hours of daylight will be much better for some lineside shots. So I also second that question!
Yes, but I can see we’re asking for different reasons. I’m wanting them gone ASAP so that all customers on the Wirral line can expect a consistent product with plugs and temperature control :D

Another early departure for the scrap move of 508120 & 508131.
Final scrap move of this year of the 507/508 fleet as far as I am aware.

Are there any scrap moves taking place this week of anything? It's on and off topic at the same time, I appreciate.

I will be visiting Liverpool from Scotland over the next couple of days so if there's any info surrounding the workings of 507001, 507002 and the last remaining 508's, it will be much appreciated! Also, will try to brace for a 777 failing o_O

You are really a caring person so it seems, worrying about the good people of the Wirral from afar. I maybe wrong but my many experiences on the Northern Line tell me that usage of the charging points is minimal probably because if short journey times. And perhaps the goog people of Merseyside do wierd thingd like charging their phones at home,

Anybody heading out on the Wirral lines, be aware that there’s been no service east of Birkenhead North or north of Birkenhead Central due to power supply issues.

I had an interesting Boxing Day run out to New Brighton, non-stop from Birkenhead North. Would have been even more interesting to have done the West Kirby line, calling only at Leasowe!

Merseyrail customers would prefer trains which actually work properly and can be relied upon.

507001 should be doing Southport line services tomorrow considering it worked West Kirby services for a little bit this afternoon then sent to Kirkdale at around 18:30

The West Kirby diagram finishing with 2W46 now runs ECS to Birkenhead North E.M.U.D. not Kirkdale C.S. so unless its moved over to the Northern line later tonight, will most likely start from Birkenhead North depot tomorrow - there is now one Southport-Hunts Cross diagram which starts out from Birkenhead North depot (on 5S02) so there is a chance 507001 could be working on the Northern line tomorrow.
