A lot of stations, if they don't smell of burgers, smell of pi55 these days. Country stations are obvious exceptions (although silage and cow pooh might be off-putting).
Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Mistley, just down the Harwich line from Manningtree. What a wonderfully smelly station that was, being situated next to the Edme maltings and 'food ingredients' manufacturing site. Quite delicious, never smelt a station like it - worth a visit just to savour the odour (and the odd container train as well for good measure).
