As I understand it, that would appear to be correct bet it's a logistical headache for the planners though!Ha, I haven't read this from the start only the last few months. Thanks, that does explain those units out and about without PRM mods. So back to my initial understanding, I assume these particular units cannot run with Pacers? As 142s can only run with modified stock.

Sheffield Midland....Ones Made It..can’t vouch for the rest of January so far but tonight :
142036 coupled with 150144 worked the 1949 Man Picc - Sheffield and 2247 return .
No probs , the 2249 arrival from Picc was a solo 150There was at least one more this evening. I was on 18.14 out of Sheffield which had half refurbished 150 (still light green liveried) leading and fuiller Pacer behind, a guard in each unit. We passed a similar train going the other way, possibly the units above. Sorry, I was iin 'get to meeting' mode, so didn't take numbers.
Hope they keep on that 1949 service for a few weeks ,Got a couple of Northern flash sale trips booked on that runMon 06/01/20

Something would have to go quite wrong for you to get a Pacer up there now, as they have no booked work North of York*.Class 142 sightings - none at all! Commuted a whole week on Teesside and didn't ride on a single Pacer. There was a nasty moment in the dark at Eaglescliffe when I thought I saw one, but I was mistaken.
On a steady diet of 156s now. Trains with bogies are a dream come true....
142004 and 150127 formed the 10:35am Kirkby to Manchester Victoria service this morning.
I was also on 142004 which was coupled to 150127 on the 17:03 departure from Wigan to Victoria station.
144007 was on the 18.18 Leeds to York this evening.144008 was a very nice surprise on the afternoon Saturdays only Cleethorpes to Sheffield
