Northern have been very quiet about this new long-distance service to the east coast...
I'm embarassed to say that I actually spent a couple of minutes trying to figure this out as a "Northern Connect" service or something.

Are there any more 158s at Northern to receive the modifications? The Scotrail ones 786/9 will most likely go to Crewe for a full overall.

It's not really a surprise that there's a path, as it's in the Working Time Table. The key point is if it is going to run.

Think it could be 150 228 which is going to Kilmarnock, I passed it between Victoria and Newton Heath around 1040

Thanks Are you sure you meant 150 127 Doncaster to NH as I dont think 127 as in works. Perhaps 129, 131 or 135 which are shown on 506021s blog as in works.

I’m on refurbished 158904 at Scarborough awaiting the 16.20 departure to Hull.
I’ve noticed that it does not have Wifi or usb sockets. However the aircon is not working and the hopper windows are all open in each car.
The PIS is not working either.
Here is a photo’ of the unit earlier on at Beverley on the 13.30 to Hull running 6 mins late.
