Mmmmm, all this talk about the new seats. Would it be considered extremely controversial if I thought that they are a vast improvement over what they were like in their Serco-Abellio guise?

I personally like:
- The huge amount of legroom (some of the biggest I’ve seen on any train.
- Their more upright posture.
- Their more modern appearance.

Personally I don’t mind that they’re a bit hard, mainly because the vast majority of trains that I’ve ridden all my life have had hard seats and also because I’m in good shape i.e. no back issues.
I don't think it's controversial at all

Interesting that there's a Heaton to Wolverton move, I wonder what that will be?

None of the Heaton refurbished 158s have USB apart from 158845/9. The only Angel leased 156 at Heaton to have USB/wifi is 451 out of the 29 allocated.

Heaton have four Porterbrook 156s. I'm sure 421 and 429 have USB but not sure about 428 and 440.

For Wifi I believe the 333's are all fitted.

For USB and Wifi, all Porterbrook 150's and 156's, 150101, 150220, 156451, 158845 and 158849 have it.

170's have power sockets but I'm not sure about Wifi.

They all had WiFi from their Scotrail days, so wouldn’t be surprised if Northern just changed the network on them when they transferred.

I wonder if the 323 coming from Wolverton actually runs today. Hopefully 3rd time lucky. As I’m at Wolverton in the pouring rain right now waiting for it!
Which 323 unit will it be does anyone know?

Might have been 224 as only that and 223 left to do, but looks like it's been cancelled again.
It has been, typical! That’s annoying. They will probably schedule it again when I’m in college so I’ll probably miss it! Hopefully it’ll come next Saturday instead of today. So I could still catch it.

It would have been 4th time lucky as it was cancelled last Sat, Tues and Wed as well as today.
Suppose it keeps someone in a job booking and cancelling paths.

150 226 was unrefurbished and went to Crewe 12th Sept so presumably been done now. Of the 150/2s I think this leaves of just toiletless 150 209.

Couldnt see inside but its in the new livery and looked to be fully externally branded

150226 was in old livery when it arrived at Crewe 2 weeks ago. Last 150/2 in that livery.
150135 old livery went in last week and another 150/1 in old livery has just arrived on the NH today.

Thanks. Northern seem to be getting near the end of the refurb program with I think 7x150/1, 1x156 and 5 x158s to visit works. Just digital mods left to do.

Re 150/1s I have 150 113, 114, 115, 117, 118, 121 in old livery plus 122 in GW livery still to visit works for interior refurb. Presumably one of the above has gone to Crewe today to join 150 135.
Re 156 reported elseware 156 447 in Scotrail livery is still to visit works.
Re 158s I have 158 791, 851, 855, 861, 872 to visit works. 158 842 and 853 are at Bristol and Crewe works.
