Seen a photo of 807002 taken 15/05/23 on 5Q07 21:10 Merchant Rail-Darlington, then did 5Q08 Darlington-Doncaster.

805001/003 looked fine as they passed Wigan North Western going north at 0900 yesterday morning.
Still based at Merchant Park, it’s out to play every night this week for over night test between Darlington and York/Doncaster.
Thanks for that.
I passed Oxley several times on a recent trip and always saw one but not two so no cop!

Any further updates regarding the 805/807's as it has gone a bit silent.
Silent doesn’t always mean a bad thing! There could be a lot of progress going on behind the scenes

Indeed. When building a new fleet don't the builders generally knock one out quickly to assess the process. In most cases I recall it seems to be 003. I remember 91003Silent doesn’t always mean a bad thing! There could be a lot of progress going on behind the scenes
being hauled from Crewe to Bescot in a freight, then we put it behind a pair of 31s on 7E38 to Tinsley en route to Doncaster IIRC

805s will likely appear in small numbers by the end of the year, 807s will be 2024 from what I have heard.
Adding on to what @The Planner said, the latest issue of Modern Railways states that initially pairs of 805s will run between Euston and Birmingham, easing training, “later this year.”

805 004 & 006 are currently at Newton Aycliffe
All except 001 and 003 are still at Aycliffe under production and test.
There’s only 2 out, 805001 and 805003.

Yeah, I wonder how long till driver training begins on the new units
Modern railways quoted “over the summer.” The last plan I heard was that Wolverhampton would be the first depot to receive training, with pairs of 805s initially being used on Euston-Birmingham, as it’s a relatively self contained diagram.

805001 has been on test today between Stafford and Wolverhampton on numerous runs today. I saw it arrive into Wolverhampton on 5Q75 whilst waiting for my train home. First time I've seen it run under own power and on diesel mode as well. 805003 is the other 5 car unit at Oxley Depot as well.

Is 805001 still with GBRf
As mentioned above only 001 and 003 are at Oxley for testing, all other units remain undergoing static testing at Newton Aycliffe.
And yes I do believe these are still crewed by Freightliner or GBRF crews as this is still mileage accumulation.
Suppose it all comes down to how the testing and mileage accumulation comes along.
There will most likely be a date somewhere, but probably kept internal.

Entry into passenger service will be in 2024 somewhere. With just 2 trains released for mainline testing and we're in July now no way they be in service this year.
