I predict that this time next year the Guess the Station thread will be no more after forum members have successfully guessed the style of every single paving slab and brickwork for all stations in the country.

I predict that this time next year we will have four new names in the Top 10 Overall Posters... I'll leave you to insert names as you wish

LOL at 'Hamilton Central station has gone missing!' by IPT.

Guess there is a light hearted reason you put that in ;)

Even I have to laugh at that one

Guess the Station will never die!

Yeah, it will go:

1. IanPooleTrains
2. yorkie
3. Mojo
4. theblackwatch

Me and the top for posting too much and the other three for telling me off for posting too much

I wouldn't say that to a man who could ensure it did in about 20 seconds!

To be honest, if GTS carries on as it is, I predict the Top 10 to feature, you, a member beginning with I, one with O and one with T, and myself!

It makes me wonder, looking ahead to 2013 if we will have a thread on "has anyone seen a 10 car Pendolino around today".....:P

I have to say I chuckled at this prediction! Guess The Station is on the brink of reaching 1000 pages, but OxetdL needs to try and work his graphing magic to get a list of all the stations posted already. I wonder if we'll still be playing it next year, and what the next revolutionary forum game will be......Guess The Station By Signs maybe? ;)

As we are on the subject of page editing, you can edit ANY webpage and customize it as you like by copying and pasting the below text into the address bar. No, the changes you make will not stick, but it's still quite a fun thing to do.
You can edit Google, FB, whatever you like.

I picked this up from my site designing days.

javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0

Remove the current address from the bar, then copy and paste it.

Considering the way Richard Branson's brain works I wouldn't be surprised if he did want to introduce swimming pool coaches. The economics (and safety) aspects might not add up though! :)

Imagine having a 19 car Pendolino... I'm sure the TM wouldn't be too pleased!

The way the DfT are acting at the moment makes it look like they have a dark, dirty, secret (and suspicious) plan to renationalise the railways!

At least it would relieve the problem of overcrowding on services out of Euston on a Friday evening.

I think a travellator would need to be installed on the platform first. People in Coach A wouldn't be too happy if they needed to walk past EIGHTEEN coaches to get to their seat!

"Passengers in coach R must move forwards in the train when alighting as the train is longer than any platform in the country."

I just been laughing my way through this thread! And that's allowing for me being on the Stranraer ferry

I am going to have to give this a go. But it will have to wait until I get back to Bath...

As for Guess the Station, I think it will still exist but will have expanded beyond its current premise to any station on Earth. Even the weather station in the Antarctic.
