Did you do the Maindee Junction diversion?

Which 153 is it?

Yes I did do the Maindee diversion, on the 1930 Manchester-Carmarthen yesterday. 153327 is the one I need.

175111? I must have missed you in that case.

Ahh, I must have made a mistake somewhere. For some reason I thought 1V66 was the only train that went that way. Oops. 1V66 was 175111.

Very easy to rack up the mileage on a Derbyshire Wayfarer, it must be said! I've done more than enough mileage on 222101, you can have them from me

I suppose that you must live on or near the MML. I have had more than my fair share of Pacers and 150s since 1986 and will be glad when they are replaced by 319s very soon.

Not even close! Derby's approximately 116 miles away by bus and train from here, maybe slightly more. Doncaster to Hull (that was in April 2007, before anyone asks!) and East Midlands Ghostway (sic) to Kettering via Syston North Curve and Corby is way more than enough on 222101.

Trust me, I'd MUCH rather a 150 than a 222!

Nicely done Dan, about time you got some winners in!

2 more days of work to get through this week, then Sunday's preparation day ready for #techsgardening and #techsonthetoon :D:D:D<D<D<D

An ATW 150 perhaps, definitely not a Northern 150. 222s are by no means the best trains, but they are not too shabby compared to many other classes.

Anybody lucky enough to be on the 2000 Norwich - Liverpool Street on Wednesday evening would have had 66954 for haulage after 90002 failed at Needham Market.
Train caped at Ipswich.

(And before you ask, no I wasn't on it.)

I don't know if I just got unlucky, but the Northern 150 I travelled on around new year was vile. If I'd have known I probably would have boarded the pacer in front of it instead. The panels were all filthy, some a little rotten and rusty, it made some of the oft-criticised anglia units look positively gleaming. Comparing that example to the 222 I travelled on with my comfortable table seat there's nil comparison.

12CSVT: 'lucky' enough - seemingly a good few people were 2+ hours late due to that incident. Now I'm all for taking slight diversions for haulage but anyone pleased about that is dedicated! :D

Indeed! Apparently a rescue engine (according to LM on Twitter earlier today) was being sent out to rescue a train failed at Northampton. I wasn't aware a loco could rescue a 350!

If you travel on the Heaton based Pacers with their 2 + 2 high back seating they are quite pleasant.

Whilst a fairly good month for mileage, haulage wasn't particularly kind with only three this month:

375309
91116
91107

February is looking to be somewhat better though happily, with a few trips lined up.
