Last one is finally in the book :)
Congratulations.

You'll be pleased to know that 321448 is also required by me (to be fair, so are most of its siblings :) )

When are you planning on doing the Ordsall chord (or whatever its called)? Tempted to pop out and join you...

Like the majority of us, I need 321448 too, as well as many other 321s. I didn't mention in recent times to Kite that 321303 was already dud mind! Ordsall Chord is required for me too, I intend to get up there sometime in the spring for it but I have no idea when it is opening yet.

Anyway, I nearly forgot which thread I was posting on (having a bit of a catchup this morning!) for a moment there, and I has an update of my own:

Out of curiosity, what was 800011 working on 10/11 ?

I was on the GWML that day, and the IETs I saw in service were 800008+800009 on 1145 Paddington - Swansea, and 800005+800006 on 1345 Paddington - Swansea

Interesting, I had 5+6 on the 0815 PAD-CDF (which was due back out at 1055), and my notes here say I had 9+11 on the 1529 SWA-PAD. It certainly could have been a mis-read

I plan to do the Ordsall Chord on the Jolly Grid tour next month, should be behind a 56 (or a 60).

Passenger service will probably be January time, popping up to Manchester on the 9th December to try and hunt down my last dozen trams.

My last "old" EMU (defined as being in use since last year) which is still in traffic is 483009, with 321448 & 332014 being on the long term out of use list

Think passenger service over Ordsall chord is supposed to start at the December service changes, with around six or so ex-Calder Valley services using it first off.

483009 is way down the pecking order and is as good as not coming back.

Quite an impressive haul there!

I've received confirmation that it was indeed 800008+800009 last week. Somehow my drunk brain wrote it down correctly into the notebook but not into the observations file! My post from 10th November 2017 has now been edited to reflect this.

No red pennage for me since then and not going to be any until next week at the earliest, although I have yet to decide upon my moves for that one...

Ta, I might as well put another star next to it as being long term out of use [similar to Glasgow Subway car 122 & 332014 which are unlikely to return]

Doing quite well with the 700s Mr M

First few blind stabs at Crossrail trains and churned out 345005/6/7/8/9/10/11/12 on the first eight journeys. Very impressed with the efficiency. :D

707003/4 were the first 707s in the book and 800005/6 became the first entries on 800s last month.

In the meantime (spanning a good year or so) a few classes were finally completed. 321311 brought in the last 321 bar long-term out 448 last week, 507020 completed the 507 line-up a couple of weeks back, 96092 finished the 96 stock off back a few months, and earlier in the year 365535 was the last of the 365s and 317509 completed the book on 317s for me (including 317722).

If counting unpowered coaches then 82112 this week also allowed me to cross off all surviving DVTs in regular passenger service.

Thank you, but don't forget I do have the advantage that they are fairly local to me; I can get to the core with one change of train, in fact onto a 700, five miles from home at Sutton...

Sadly no required 387s from Paddington with the 19:30 IET replaced by a HST so a bit of a mixed bag.

Still progress Kite!

You're all doing far better than me, it must be said. Like Kite is doing, I'll have to mark some of these trains off as long-term OOU. Quite, I've already given up with the 483s and I'm not planning to go back there until they're now replaced if I'm honest.

This reminds me that I've not yet had a 374, something else I'm now adding to my 2018 list...

IÉ locos 217/218/229

Very good of IÉ to do three loco swaps on the Cork diagrams over the last few days.

There have been a few units as well, but really not bothered by them!

a few new ones today

387217 (class cleared)
700011/024/028/042/117/119/122 (all current 700/0s cleared)

just 171202 now to clear the GTR franchise (undelivered 700s excluded obviously) altho it never shows up and no pictures on flickr since august so I've come to the conclusion it's very broken at Selhurst!

Out of interest, how do people clear the 387/2 for haulage without having to wait for them to be on the odd southern working. Is there a cost effective way of getting them on airport work...
