All PADD-plymouth& Penzance gwr on both days .
You could use RealTime Trains & TigerIris as you can track down what comes from Penzance and what forms out of Paddington / Old oak on the day of travel. That's what I do. TigerIris only gives it you in that specific time of looking, so set get up early.

Thanks in advance

First 5 "intercity" services from PZ will be HST both days as no IETs stay overnight at Long Rock - yet.

So let me get this straight, this would be:

1A75 0505 PNZ-PAD 1001
1A77 0541 PNZ-PAD 1121
1A79 0647 PNZ-PAD 1221
1A81 0741 PNZ-PAD 1314
1A82 0900 PNZ-PAD 1400

and then following these through:

(1A75) --> 1C78 1103 PAD-PLY 1421 --> 1A91 1500 PLY-PAD 1816
(1A77) --> 1C80 1203 PAD-PNZ 1709
(1A79) --> 1C82 1303 PAD-PLY 1618 --> 1A96 1657 PLY-PAD 2036
(1A81) --> 1C84 1403 PAD-PNZ 1932
(1A82) --> 1C86 1503 PAD-PNZ 2040

Others which have been mentioned:

1A71 0451 PLY-PAD 0837 -->1C74 0903 PAD-PLY 1219 --> 1A87 1255 PLY-PAD 1621 --> 1C90 1703 PAD-PNZ 2225
1A73 0529 PLY-PAD 0922 -->1C76 1003 PAD-PNZ 1511 --> 1A97 1600 PNZ-PAD 2122
1A85 1000 PNZ-PAD 1521 --> 1C88 1603 PAD-PNZ 2129

How much of this is wrong?

(Not sure about some of the deductions as to which services form part of the same diagram since RTT seems to show the great big hand in the sky shunting at Paddington.)

Wrong.
43024&161 Was w29 today

Did I say what was working it!
Both services mentioned are on 800/0 diagrams. NP119 & NP132 respectively, I have them in front of me. The question was not what was working them but if they were still HST diagrams, which they aren’t!

By the way are you incapable of using proper headcodes? 1W29!

0945 London Paddington > Swansea on Saturday was an HST

I don't know if this is normal but a lot of the carriages were still in the old blue First Great Western livery – felt like they'd got some out of storage to run an extra formation for the rugby crowds? (It was still standing room only all the way from Paddington to Cardiff)

Not many sets are in the GWR branding, and all remain with the FGW interior now LA15 is off lease.

But in terms of GWR HSTs, it's quite obvious which service it is!

There are Class 2 HSTs on GWR. I might understand, you might understand, 90% of the membership might understand but perhaps 10% may not. Every schedule or Signalling diagrams use 4 digits.

Sorry it’s been a busy weekend so far, however just had a quick look at those two services. Both IET today and throughout the week.
Thanks very much. Any ideas on 1W00, 1W21, 1W37 and 1W41 as well for Saturdays? Much appreciated.

W29 could be either 1W29 but could also refer to a 2W29 in another part of the country.

Or even the same part of the country. At Slough 1W29 and 2W29 are only 10 minutes apart. Admittedly 2W29 will not be an HST/IET but only a few months ago 1W29 was often a 16x and the very same 16x could also turn up on 2W29 the following day.

Hi guys, booking onto either the 16:00 or 16:57 Plymouth to Paddington on Tuesday - what is this running as these days?

Given that most weekend services on the Cotswold Line have been IETs for some time - and pretty much the entire Cotswold Line service should be IET from mid-December, bar the odd Turbo duty, the odds of an HST on a Saturday are pretty slim.

The same can be said about weekdays as well. The 13.22 from Paddington to Worcester and 15.51 return and the 15.50 from Paddington to Moreton-in-Marsh and 17.38 return are about the only two consistently HST-worked trains I have seen for a couple of weeks now, though there is probably the odd one very early or very late still.

On weekdays I think the 08.22 Paddington - Hereford and 12.09 Hereford - Paddington are still fairly consistent (although the latter is a poor timekeeper) along with the set that stables overnight at Hereford, the 19.22 from Paddington and 04.47 from Hereford. Of course next week there is a major block on the Cotswolds so everything will be different

1600 is unit
1657 is hst
Unless the man with diagrams doesn't tell u

16.00 1A93 is on an IET diagram (2x 802 5car)
16.57 1A96 is on an HST diagram.

Usual disclaimer: Traction may differ on the day due to unit availability or operational requirements.
