1W01 10:22 London Paddington to Hereford was a HST today (43193 leading & 43174); 1W25 12:21 London Paddington to Worcester Shrub Hill was also reported HST but I didn't see it. Both of these had changed to IET operation.

A post on the last page suggests that one 5 car will come from Penzance and the second 5 car will attach at Plymouth.

The 5.53 is a Plymouth starter I think you are referring to the 6.55 which is being downgraded to a portion train. (5.05 off PZ)

Are powercars 43017, 079, and 091 still with GWR and are any of the above working today?

Those are my final GWR ones that are required for haulage.

Yes and has been answered over on the TOPS request thread.

Hi,
Really sorry but I don't understand a lot of the codes etc so forgive me if the answer is obvious.
If I wanted to book me and my boyfriend on a GWR HST 125 and not the new 800 train on December 10th from Worcester Foregate to Paddington what times between say 10am and 1pm departure are deffo HST's and again which are HST's that would leave Paddington on Tuesday 11th December after 6.45pm ish back to Worcester Foregate Street?
Also is Trainline the best way to get cheapest first class fares or is there somewhere else to book?
Thanks Philippa

It's the 12:09 Hereford - Paddington, which should leave Worcester Foregate Street at 1300.
Then there's the 1822 from Paddington back to Worcester (final destination of Hereford).
I would use GWR.com, as the tickets will be the same price as the trainline, but without the booking fees.

By the way if it helps 43158 was stabled with the engine running at Worcester Shrub Hill (in the 'Hereford' Sidings) with an 800 either side as of 1.35am

Mikeastons - Whilst your return journey will be an HST, I'm sorry to say that the outward journey is booked a 9 car IET. At least you'll have an HST to look forward to on the return! :)

On the SX diagrams for December watch out for diagram 12. Somebody put a 10 car cl.802 onto the Cheltenham's by mistake so between 1A02 and 1U28 it could get swapped out STP for 1G11, 1L50, 1G38 and 1L80. It has been swapped in LTP from January onwards.

SX Diagrams 11 to 13 will go IET as from 11/02/19 and Diagrams 8 to 10 will go IET as from 11/03/19, depending on cl.802 9 car deliveries. That will finish the SX starts off SPM.

Mon 10/12, the 12.09 Hereford - Paddington (1P31) is on an HST diagram, (unless there has been an unpublished amendment??)

What is the problem with 10-car IETs running to Cheltenham? As long as they use Gloucester platform 4 and don’t try and share Alstone Sidings with anything else during the turnaround, they should fit?

So does this mean diagrams 1 to 7 remain HST beyond March? ?? If so good news indeed a nice stay of execution. ...

I’m a bit confused now.
Is the 12.09pm I’ve booked deffo an IET and not a HST then or did the info revert back to HST?
If not a HST any idea which service from Worcester is deffo a HST even if it’s earlier or a bit later?
Thanks Philippa

By the way we’re learning our way around Real Time trains site and found the Worcester Hereford Sidings bit which shows a HST arriving at 23.47 tonight that was 5W41
We’re actually got there to see it at 23.40 and there are two IET’s already there.
The HST hasn’t appeared.
Here’s the page on Real-time trains.
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/C43992/2018/12/06/advanced
Am I reading it wrong or is there a way of finding out if it’s late etc?
Thanks very much
Philippa

Realtime trains reports all IET and HST services as HST at present as all the services are timetabled to HST running times. Hence why we try to ask our friends on here which of the HST services are actually HST's 802's etc. Eventually I guess future timetables will start to distinguish any remaining HST's from IET's.

Ahh thanks very much -so I’m not totally daft then!
So are the guys on here who know the difference working for GWR or the railways in some way?
