Don't know the technical reason but the 365 knuckle points in the same directionJust womdered if anyone has a technical reason the pantographs on these units face the opposite way to every other Scotrail EMU? ie the knuckle is at the coach end normally but these are the other way around?
It won't matter what moquette they use, the ironing board will still be horrendously uncomfortable.Al Dalton from the Scotsman shared this picture which captures more of the moquette - I'm pleased to see it's real moquette too and not that flat cloth rubbish being used elsewhere…
Image description: Two fainsa 'ironing board' seats with a dark blue moquette and brightly coloured icons depicting various passengers who might use a 'Priority seat' (pregnant, persons carrying children, folks with mobility aids, a person with a broken leg etc).
Hey, you might need to edit that link, the code for it has gone haywire somewhere along the line. Fixed link:Apologies again for the blatant plug and for double posting (this is already on the Glasgow Queen Street thread), but it might be of interest.
Driver training on 385014/015 from about 1’ 29” followed by a look at the 385 features shot on 385104/103 on the first day in service.
(Contains some dodgy continuity and flashing lights - has anyone found a frame rate to stop this happening on the headlights and PIS?)

I was at Queen St from 1240 until 1400 but the new train didn’t make an appearance. I asked a couple of Scotrail gate line staff whether it was operating today but they were pretty clueless. Didn’t see it at Waverley either.
The moquette has nothing to do with that though. The point is, some TOCs have switched to flat cloth (such as the ex ScotRail 170s at northern) - it doesn't wear well and stains really easily. Makes your new/refurbished train looks rubbish internally and will end up costing more on cosmetic maintenance. It won't matter what moquette they use, the ironing board will still be horrendously uncomfortable.
With these and the 365s are the drivers opening doors and conductors closing??
Saturday is maintenance day for the two sets. Guess you will need to return after more have started working, which will have a different day.Might take a wee trip to Edinburgh today. The 1315 from Glasgow should be a 385 is that right?
Are just Mon to Fri and the moment?
The timing loads shown on Reatime Trains mean nothing in practice. The E&G has had class 385 timing loads since the December 2017 timetable change.
Today's recent Departures from Queen Street showOh, ‘obviously’.
Exactly my point. They don't show all 385So do you know why they changed from all 385s to 385s plus 365s & 158s as well?
