The set and coach numbers should give that away!Sorry if this has already been answered, but is today’s wabtec-slateford move more Coach E’s heading north or is it the set that went down for warranty repairs a few weeks ago?
Yes, 17 TS to form up the 5-car sets.8 so far. Was it 17 the total number?
And a shame that there's neither the passengers or timetable to use the trains to fulfil their intended purpose of taking people quickly and comfortably from one corner of Scotland to another. They are firing them out quick now. Shame it took so long at the beginning.
To be fair the HSTs are fulfilling their intended purpose just now without any fuss. Just no passengers on board. And a shame that there's neither the passengers or timetable to use the trains to fulfil their intended purpose of taking people quickly and comfortably from one corner of Scotland to another.
I suppose Covid has helped the Scotrail HST project in that it's distracted everyone from how late running and frustrating it had become.
I believe that is correct.
- My newly acquired Platform 5 2021 book shows the intermediate trailers allocated to Inverness
- The same publication shows the power cars (class 43 locos if you like) allocated to Haymarket
Trailers are allocated to Inverness, power cars at Haymarket.Probably a silly question, but are ScotRail HST trailers allocated to Haymarket or Inverness?
I am confused because:
Thanks
- The Inter7City set numbers HAnn imply the allocation of these sets to Haymarket

East Coast sets were all allocated to Craigentinny (as were the XC sets - they were only moved to Laira a few years ago when Craigentinny became a Hitachi depot). Were the power cars and trailers ever allocated separately when with Great Western, or was the whole train allocated OO (Old Oak), LA (Laira), and LE (Landore)?
When East Midlands had their original batch, the whole train was allocated NL (Neville Hill), likewise with Arriva Crosscountry.
Also, were the East Coast sets allocated to EC (Edinburgh Craigentinney), or were they split like in the Scotrail case?

Many thanksTrailers are allocated to Inverness, power cars at Haymarket.
Old Oak was OC wasn't it?Were the power cars and trailers ever allocated separately when with Great Western, or was the whole train allocated OO (Old Oak), LA (Laira), and LE (Landore)?

OC was the loco depot, OO was the HST depot and OH was the Heathrow Express depot. Think OM was used for LHCS as well?Old Oak was OC wasn't it?
Landore never had a trailer car allocation, only power cars. Trailers moved around over the years between Old Oak, Laira and St. Philip's Marsh. Latterly they were allocated to Laira, with a spare TGS at SPM, even though power cars were split between OO, LA and LE.Were the power cars and trailers ever allocated separately when with Great Western, or was the whole train allocated OO (Old Oak), LA (Laira), and LE (Landore)?

Correct, you had rakes allocated as OC (Old Oak) and LA (Laira) with a few vehicles allocated as spares to Old Oak (OO) and St Philips Marsh (PM).Old Oak was OC wasn't it?

Old Oak had sets : OC30 - OC 57.
Laira had sets : LA01 - 16, LA 60 - LA 80
PM - 44100
OO - 44024
Honestly, 43185 looks like it could have been sat since IC Swallow days given the current condition....Just to prove it does exist here's 43128 at Haymarket Depot. 43185 is sat behind it in the process of being striped for spares.

That'll polish out...don't think we will see for a while sadly wow its got a bit of work to get it operational
Looking at the last few days with the gen on Facebook there seems to be around 12 diagrams at the moment. How many sets are diagrammed out on a daily basis in the current timetable? And how is availability now?
Yes.. Quite a few 170s and 158s still doing Inverness to Glasgow and Edinburgh.Looking at the last few days with the gen on Facebook there seems to be around 12 diagrams at the moment.
