there was an advert in the Telegraph and Argus in Bradford which is also going to be publishing tokens too.

There is a potential problem with the Northern newspaper offer application forms. Under old Northern, the "ID Number" box on the form got automatically filled in if you were logged in to the website. With the new Northern website this isn't happening, for me at least.

It also seems odd that Northern's new website doesn't have a log in option and therefore don't have our personal details to add to our printed forms.
Just had a look in this morning's Lancashire Evening Post and there is no voucher. Which makes my trip to Leeds today a bit more expensive.
Despite being advertised last week on front page, there is NO token in this weeks Leyland Guardian . I know its not on the list of Johnston Press participating papers (its sister paper Chorley Guardian is , due out Wednesday ) Still not had a reply as to why no tokens in Lancs Eve Post...
Are they only in Yorkshire papers ? Are they restarting the War of the Roses ...???![]()

The Newsquest list does seem to be only Yorkshire and the North East and seems to exclude all North West papers. Now that Blackpool, Windermere and Barrow have transferred to Northern the £10 tickets are more useful than they would have been in the North West.
I think the last time Cheshire was included in a limited time Northern promotion was the Greggs doughnut promotion which was years ago.
Looking again at the forms on Northern's website today, it seems that they have been amended and all have the FF2016 code on them now. If anyone is going to use this offer then make sure that your form has an ID code on it. If it hasn't then try re-downloading and printing it again (or just write the code in).
I had my Northern newspaper offer form, that I printed out last week, rejected this morning for the ID box being blank. I thought that this might happen. The booking office, which according to NRE opens at 0845, opened up at 0900ish with me hoping to catch a train at 0908. The staff member on duty wouldn't budge and suggested that the only thing he could suggest is that I called Northern customer services for advice. I quickly found a payphone and did. After a few minutes on hold, Northern told me to write the code FF2016 in the box and to tell the booking clerk that this would be OK. That was accepted, ticket issued and I ran to to the platform just as my train was pulling in. A close call and a trip almost ruined.
