Achnashellach is another unstaffed one platform station but in a far superior locality than the last one.

also has a busy level crossing close to the station, causing longer waits for traffic from stopping trains due to overlap regulations.

York is also served by many different TOCs, but 2 of which only call infrequently (Crewe has XC and ScotRail; York has GC and EMT).

Llanfairfechan also has an easement.

[you can double back via Newcastle with an Acklington-Berwick/Scotland ticket routed "any permitted" - likewise you can double-back via Llandudno Junction with a Llanfairfechan-Holyhead ticket]
