Noticed on instagram a photo of the new wrapped 700, 700111.

I will add some pics!

A good choice indeed (the non-emergency NHS phone number for those of you who didn't get it)

A good gesture for everything the NHS continue to do for us. Glad there isn't a No. 700999 in the Class.

This is brilliant - well done GTR. :)

Also can't help thinking that the pink stripes should be on the standard livery too (instead of just plain white).
Have to agree, I’d be like to see more unique ones pop up

When a livery such as the NHS 111 is applied to a train, do they actually pay for it or does the train leasing company provide it?

GTR, Porterbrook and Cross London Trains have worked together to create a 'thank you' livery for three EMUs for different parts of the GTR network. 700111 is the first to enter traffic, with 717011 and 377111 also being treated.

The 'we're with you' tagline was being rolled out across GTR prior to the virus as far as I remember

I think it’s a nice touch and the train IMO is a lot more interesting than the other very bland 700s!

Ironiclly, with the amount of bad backs those hard seats will cause we are gonna need the NHS more than ever.

Oh and the vinyl shouldve been grey background not white.

Fincra5 answered this specific application. In the general case, 'it depends'. Whoever's 'idea it is' pays. In this case, the TOC as it wants to promote a thanks message. In other cases that are, frankly, advertising the advertiser pays.

Southern have done the same. Can't help but wonder if this is also a way of trialling a more up to date unified GTR livery too.....

Translink (Northern Ireland Railways) have branded two of its trains in special 'Trainbow' livery:
BBC News NI: 'Trainbows' hit the rails in NI

And they are not numbered ending with '111' and it's not NHS related.
Possibly because technically there is no such thing as the NHS in Northern Ireland: it's called Health and Social Care, because the two are integrated. Even though people do just refer to it as the NHS, but you'll look in vain for those words in any official documentation.

Not as far as I'm aware. The Brands have had subtle changes throughout the franchise. Southern has got more green and lighter in tone.

This tweet would suggest funding was provided by Porterbrook. The owners of the Trains.

That looks brilliant! The green designs would make for a nice new Southern livery imo the current one is a bit boring.

hopefully some inspiration for other TOCs. I would like to see Avanti do the same and LNWR!
