Ah reasoning?...and Number 111 is quite a significant choice.
111 is the NHS advice line?Ah reasoning?
Course! Didn’t even notice!111 is the NHS advice line?
This is brilliant - well done GTR.Photos from TL page.
Have to agree, I’d be like to see more unique ones pop upThis is brilliant - well done GTR.
Also can't help thinking that the pink stripes should be on the standard livery too (instead of just plain white).
I see no reason why not. He’s one of the only decent news stories there’s been for weeks.Should one of the units be named Captain Tom Moore?
And at a remarkable age tooI see no reason why not. He’s one of the only decent news stories there’s been for weeks.
When a livery such as the NHS 111 is applied to a train, do they actually pay for it or does the train leasing company provide it?
Thank youGTR, Porterbrook and Cross London Trains have worked together to create a 'thank you' livery for three EMUs for different parts of the GTR network. 700111 is the first to enter traffic, with 717011 and 377111 also being treated.
Fincra5 answered this specific application. In the general case, 'it depends'. Whoever's 'idea it is' pays. In this case, the TOC as it wants to promote a thanks message. In other cases that are, frankly, advertising the advertiser pays. When a livery such as the NHS 111 is applied to a train, do they actually pay for it or does the train leasing company provide it?
Possibly because technically there is no such thing as the NHS in Northern Ireland: it's called Health and Social Care, because the two are integrated. Even though people do just refer to it as the NHS, but you'll look in vain for those words in any official documentation.Translink (Northern Ireland Railways) have branded two of its trains in special 'Trainbow' livery:
BBC News NI: 'Trainbows' hit the rails in NI
And they are not numbered ending with '111' and it's not NHS related.
Southern have done the same. Can't help but wonder if this is also a way of trialling a more up to date unified GTR livery too.....
