Taking heed of the 10 minute minimum connection time that applies at this large station, we next board the 1441 Southeastern service to Westenhanger that arrives at 1610 on Saturday afternoon.

We may as well have just boarded a train from Ashford to Westenhanger, a mere nine minutes away, to save us going all the way into Charing Cross and back!

Furthermore, I am surprised that Charing Cross has a ten minute minimum connection time. I know its a London terminal but it only has six platforms.

We then board the 1619 Southeastern service 2W54 to Sevenoaks, arriving there at 1717 on Saturday afternoon.

I always recommend the use of the excellent BR TIMES website. which has four index sections, one of which shows the minimum connection times at all size grades of railway stations for rail journeys.
