Torn between a journey on the Arriva 12 bus, with their very smart spec Enviro 400s, or another onward railway journey, we opt for the latter as we board the 0945 Transport for Wales / Trafnidiaeth Cymru service 1H85 to East Didsbury, arriving there at 1203 on Friday afternoon.

We retire for the evening and the following morning we walk around the corner to Infirmary Street, where we board the 0536 First Leeds service 40 to Seacroft (Bus Station), arriving there at 0608 on what I believe is now Saturday morning.

Buses are a bit thin at this time on Saturday so we have time for a leisurely breakfast in the Tesco café before boarding the 07:40 Harrogate Bus Company service 7 to Wetherby Bus Station, where we arrive at 08:30 on Saturday morning.

Seacroft is served by at least eight First Leeds buses alone (4, 11, 16/16A, 40, 49, 50/50A), all of which had buses operating from 5.30am to a range of different destinations, on top of some other smaller bus companies. Forgive me but I wouldn't call that thin personally!

We enter the station and board the 09:40 Trans Pennine Express service to Northallerton, where we arrive at 10:06 on Saturday morning.

We then board the 1026 TransPennine Express service 1P70 to Manchester Oxford Road, arriving there at 1215 on Saturday afternoon.

Leaving the railway station, we take the three minute walk to the bus stop on Station Place and there board the 1805 Stagecoach East Citi service 3 to Cherry Hinton (Fulbourne Road/Edith's Way) that arrives there at 1815 on Saturday evening.

Assuming we are at Queen Ediths Way bus stop, we then walk around the corner to the bus stop at the end of Gladstone Way, where we board the 1823 Stagecoach East Citi service 1 to Arbury (Campkin Road/Nursery School), arriving there at 1910 on Saturday evening.

Would not the additional mention of Fulbourne Road in my posting have helped with your deliberations? I have mentioned what you say to the information section of the organisation from where I obtained my information.

Well yes as I was able to narrow it down by process of elimination, although there are several bus stops on Fulbourne Road.

We cross the road and board the next Stagecoach East Citi 1 service at 19:22, alighting at Cambridge Emmanuel Street, Stop E2 at 19:40 on Saturday evening.

We walk around the corner to the bus stop on Drummond Street, where we board the 1945 Stagecoach East Citi service 4 to Cambourne (Broad Street/De La Warr Way), arriving there at 2012 on Saturday evening.

As far as I can see the only option we now have is to wait for the next Stagecoach East Citi service 4 at 21:12, which will take us to Cambridge Castle Street where we alight at 21:51.
