Ooh, interesting. I think I looked at a Saturday.

In that case, let's bail at Watford Junction at 2300.

Was hoping we might get on the railway

We walk the 9 minutes (0.4 miles) to Reach Road and get the 17:53 Stagecoach South East service 10 to Ashford (William Harvey Hospital), arriving at 18:29 Friday evening. This bus doesn't appear to go via the Wildlife Park, but luckily the next nearest stop is close enough

Buses from outside the station have stopped for the day now and we're too far away from the town centre to see if any other services are available from there, so we'll have to stick with the trains but thankfully there's a service not long after, the 2017 Southeastern service 2N68 which we take as far as Canterbury West, arriving there at 2125 on Friday evening.

Only real options here at this time of night are to kip down and take advantage of the overnight rule, or to head back on the Triangle. Therefore, to line oursleves up for a good start to Saturday, we board the 2340 Stagecoach South East Triangle from Queens Roundabout south, northbound, and alight at Herne Bay Railway Station at 2348 on Friday.

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
It's strange the different areas that annoy people - for me it is Liverpool, and I don't recollect going to Bedford in my time here 8-)
Hope the Masters is going well...
For some reason when I used to contribute to this thread, I dreaded ending up in the Oxford area for some reason, but I suppose that we all have our own personal dislikes.

Glad to see the thread is still thriving.
