Please could someone with TRUST find out, if possible, what is likely to run the Gleneagles shuttles during the Ryder Cup? I have looked on OpenTrainTImes and it simply says "Diesel loco with a 245 tonne load" which doesn't tell me very much.

This is for a SimSig TT: at the moment I am minded to use 2-car Class 158s.

EDIT: Just look on RTT and realised that 2W64 and 2W54 are formed by the same stock so I managed to get the front and rear portions separately! :lol:

Don't think that you can find that out on TRUST? Although what I've heard is they will use DRS 47/57s

Good Morning.

I guess this is a long shot, but I've been after the above loco for ever......I understand it spends a lot of it's time in Scotland - which is where I'm off to for a few days tomorrow and don't get to visit often enough:(! Does anyone know where / what it's scheduled to work this week please...or a "best chance scenario"?

Yeah I can do that as "time's my own - within reason"....but I really was wondering if the swine was specifically scheduled.....or locked away in Polmadie / Millerhill wherever:D....
Haven't been north of the border for almost 2 years so utterly out of touch - apart from what I can glean from this forum! If it comes to a "hit and hope situation" I will go sleeper spotting and perhaps have a look at the Fife circular?

Last week it was on the Aberdeen sleeper and stabled in the yard next the station during the day

Would anybody be able to confirm which other unit was working with. 150218 on (I think) 1J01 0653 Southport - Manchester Victoria today. I scribbled it down and it looks like 266 but this is a FGW unit.

Ah - thank you for that.....the Granite City is going to be off my radar - but at least there's a chance that the "wee beastie" will be working somewhere and not gathering rust and mould in some totally inaccessible place:D!!!!

I'm certain I saw it stabled in the bay at the south end of Bristol TM at around midday, but it may not have been in service.
