Driver training on class 68's is winding down now, with around 80 drivers trained up. The light engine runs between York and Scarborough are currently a mixture of drivers being trained, and drivers who already sign 68's but need to drive one at least once per month to keep up their competency on the class. They are released from their booked duties to do this. After the next week or so, all such runs will be in that category, until the mk.5 training starts.
Thank you for that, appreciated.

Looks like they are exploring the diversionary routes although the turn-around at Greetlands Junction is mighty unusual. There is a cross over between there and Elland tunnel. If I saw a picture of the train between Castleford and Church Fenton, I would be beyond impressed.

Any idea when these come into passenger services over crowding is ridiculous from Middlesbrough to York

The May timetable change seems to be the earliest date now being quoted for 2 out of the 13 sets in traffic. July is the latest date anyone has mentioned. I think the overcrowding you mentioned is right across the TPE network too.

Allegedly briefed out at some sort of management get together at lunchtime?

Leaked internal TPE comms from this afternoon now saying that the Nova 3 will be "introduced as soon as possible during the May timetable".

May TT allows Nova 3 to enter into service as and when, if not on the first day. July is a worst case scenario. Don't believe everything you hear.

On our Nova 3s, we are still working towards bringing the trains into service as soon as possible during the May timetable.

The Liverpool Glasgow services will not now be introduced until the autumn. Newcadtle-Edinburgh will also not be introduced until later in the year.

6FCC994E-CE56-406F-86B6-507BDD27130D.jpeg 68022 ‘Resolution’ out on driver training again today. Seen here disappearing into the mist at York with 0B60 to Scarborough.

Crew training has been put back 4 weeks. May is not looking a realistic target for entering service.

Some of the Liverpool-Glasgow schedules, originally on RTT as passenger services from May, now appear as ECS.
Presumably they are for training.
