I'm certainly not counting my chickens before they hatch & i'm aware I still have a hurdle to go, but does anyway know the salary progression from say day 1 to being fully passed out?

Thanks

If you passed less than 5-years ago how come you have to retake the assessments? I passed most of mine 3.5 ish years ago and don’t have to retake any? I assumed it was five years for DB, maybe it’s 4?

I had an interview the other day with DB cargo for another role and one of the guys said that DB don't take into consideration any results with other TOCs or FOCs, he did also say that they only require a standard pass rather than an enhanced like freightliner and some of the others

Just re-read that you didn't have to take yours, that's good news then if they not strict with that policy but defo what the guy said unless he got it wrong, the guy who told me was an assessor for some tests we did for groundstaff

Congrats! Now you have to choose, I guess...
I could never of guessed I'd be in this predicament, DB have been nothing short of brilliant with the process. They got back to me in a week as they said, they're sending out the proposal and PPE sizing and are arranging my train for medical. Its these small things that set them apart.

Plus fuel allowance depending on location.

Hi mate, I think I read somewhere that some depots also get London weighting, is that correct?

I passed stage 2 today and was told it’s just a matter of waiting now for the final stage/DMI. Just happy to have got the tests done and dusted!

That's correct - London Allowance of £3,394 will be paid to drivers working at Hubs
where the centre point of the Hub is within 40 miles of Charing Cross Station.

It's 9% I believe so it could be a little more or less depending on salary.

Does seem strange. I’ve defibitely only been invited to a DMI or their equivalent? Given what others gave said, I assume the assessments usually come before that as one would expect?

The contracts for JD still haven't been issued, so quite what London allowance they'd receive isn't down on paper yet!
What do you mean the contracts for JD haven't been released yet? I'm just repeating what I was told at my Junior driver Interview last week.

The junior driver is a new role and I believe there's still some things to iron out.

All the internal applicants I know of haven't had a contract yet.
Ah that's interesting, I was told it's 9% when I interviewed last week and have just been offered the job today, all I can go off is what I've been told I guess.

I may be getting it confused but it seemed like the junior driver has always been a role and was predominantly the source of mainline drivers, as there's a lack of junior drivers they have had to recruit for trainee drivers.

Surely if one offer is for a depot (junior) driver and the other for mainline, it should be a no brainer.
