A few railway services only serve Council areas that voted Remain in last year's EU referendum. I shall list several examples here:-

All local ScotRail services.

All London Overground services serving Highbury & Islington.

Liverpool Street - Enfield Town / Chingford

West Ealing - Greenford

London Waterloo - Hounslow or Kingston loops and Chessington Zoo.

London Victoria - Orpington or West Croydon

London Charing Cross / Cannon Street - Hayes (Kent)

Liverpool Lime Street - New Brighton / West Kirby

Hunts Cross - Southport

Manchester Piccadilly - Rose Hill Marple

Leeds - Harrogate - York

There may be other London, Bristol or Cardiff commuter routes for example.

Feel free to list any other examples you can think of! :)

The 0540 Edinburgh to London Kings Cross (1E01). Newcastle-upon-Tyne is the only part of the North-East region to vote remoan oops I meant remain.

I didn't realise it was compulsory for members to comment on each thread, regardless of their interest or lack of interest in it: I must go back and look at the well over 90% of threads that I've never once glanced at since I became a member, and find something to say even if it's just 'yah boo sucks'. Surely the point of self-confessed 'trivia' subjects is that they are pointless!!

While I appreciate that such threads would not be to everyone's taste, provided that it does not break forum rules, "trivia" threads are, by definition, about pointless things sometimes so will not be to everyone's taste.

If the thread broke forum rules then please report it rather than bitch about it, otherwise please note what Busaholic said upthread, and "live and let live".

Does Scotrail operate a service that starts at Gretna and ends at Carlisle?

I guess it depends on what local means. 4 stops over 33 miles, calling at every station feels 'local' to me.

I'm not sure about this but Leeds to York via Harrogate

edit: didn't notice this was on the opening post!

edit again: Severn Beach services that only run to Avonmouth

third edit: non-stop London to Cambridge services and (I think) 2C06 18:14 London Kings Cross to Cambridge
