Don't you mean East Finchley.
You're absolutely right, thanks for the correction!

Here is another screenshot:

Finchley Central; the tracks on the right go to High Barnet, the tracks on the left to Mill Hill East.
Of these three tracks (on the left, to Mill Hill East) the middle one ends with a buffer, the other two join together directly after, to form a single-track line to Mill Hill East.

Hello

I think your route looks great :D
I don't know if you have downloaded the scenery from UKTRAINSIM but if you look here you will see it for real

http://world.nycsubway.org/perl/show?12399

Thank you, that is a good photo!

Yes, I have download scenery-items from UKTrainsim. To be more preciese, I used objects from the district-route. I can not drive that route as I keep getting errors (because I do not have "newroads" installed), but I could really use some of it's London-Underground sceneryobjects.
So, before uploading this route, I will ask them permission for it.;) It's just a formality, but a neccesary one, as there is no information about copyrights in the readme-files.;)

Offcourse I build a few objects myself to (all objects on the underground part of the line).

Status update:

I have just completed scenerybuilding between Finchley Central and Mill Hill East. Finchley Central itself is not done yet.

Don't you mean UK YouTube, sjbve?

UK YouTube? No, I do not live in the UK. I logged in to youtube on my Dutch account to upload the movie.

No problem
You can find more at http://world.nycsubway.org/eu/uk/london/northern.html

I could help you with the District line, seeing as i'm dutch
And if you have got any questions about the Northern line please ask...

Thank you, those photo's are really usefull in addition to the information I get from Google Earth..

How do you think you could help me with the District line?

I do have one question about service on the Northern line; the station East Finchley has 4 platform-tracks, from which the middle ones go to Highgate depot (and are therefore not used on the line to/from central London).
East Finchley appears on the old Northern line destination blind which I have in my railwaycollection.
Do some of the passengerservices still end at East Finchley?
For example a train which runs from Kennington to Mill Hill East during peak hours, and is then diverted to Highgate Depot (to await the next peak), carrying passengers until East Finchley?

Well, normal passenger services could end up at East Finchley but this normal only applies if there are engineering works ect...
Or maybe a special service during peak hours when the Northern is overcrowded.

If you are looking at this you can see that indeed terminating at E Finchley is possible.
But as i already sad, most trains go to High Barnet.

I could help you with the District by telling you what you will need to do and that you give me the errors listed on your screen.
We can always try ;)

Thank you, I'll try installing it again tomorrow.

Today I completed scenery between Finchley Central and East Finchley.
Tomorrow I plan on completing scenery around Highgate depot and building a station-building for East Finchley.;)

Cool any chance of a beta <D

I'm sorry, I don't do beta versions.
Youtube-movies and screenshots will have to do for now.;)
If extra screenshots are asked for, I will make them (just let me know from which point in the route you want a screen), but I will not release a version which is not complete.
It is my experiance that releasing a beta has a bad effect on motivation to complete the project. So, you'll just need some more patience.;)

Have you got signaling diagrams cause i just brought the Quail trackmaps and can scan them for you.

Al I have found is this (click on the underlined stations):
http://www.trainweb.org/tubeprune/northern line diagrams.htm

But I am interested in those trackmaps, so if you can scan and mail them or post them on this forum, that would be great!

Wow
Morden Depot looks great ;)

Are you also going to make the walls?
Or are they in place??
http://www.squarewheels.org.uk/rly/stock/1959tubeStock/MDNfrmbrgLong.jpg

As you can see in my last screenshot, those walls are already in place.
I may do some final ajustments, but as far as I am concerned, Morden is finished. ;)

The picture isn't coming up.

Go here: http://www.squarewheels.org.uk/rly/stock/1959tubeStock/
It's the second one from the bottom.

WOW, i haven't been on for a while due to computer problems but you've done an excellant job of the northern line.
I'll definately be getting it if it's ever available for download.

Polite note Dave; Would you mind saving that image to your HDD and hosting it on somewhere like imageshack, or just give a link to the page its hosted on, as it really eats up the bandwidth from my site.

Regards,

Dave :)

PS. The project is looking excellent. :o

I hope to see the Northern line map up.

Here is the latest update of the map.

progresssh6.jpg

This weekend I hope to finish the line at least to Totteridge & Whetstone, and if all goes well perhaps even to High Barnet.

When that's done, the next step will be to install the signalling on the undergound part of the route (right now, it's only installed on the surface part of the line).

After that, I will decide wether to prepare to release the route or build Hampstead to Edgware first.
Building this route has become a daily hobby, which I do not want to stop yet, so Hampstead-Edgware has a good chance.;)
