Hi Chaps,

Just a simple one for you.

List as many services as you can where every station stop, including the originating and terminating stations, have at least two words in their names. These must be real services as found in the public timetable and not fictional ones. Please give the entire calling pattern with your answers.

Here's a simple one to illustrate the question.

Almost all StanEx services fit the bill because they run between London Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport, calling Tottenham Hale (or Seven Sisters), Harlow Town, Bishops Stortford and Stansted Mountfitchet.

Over to you.

O L Leigh

There's a train that goes from Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Airport where every stop is two words except Gatley. I can't do any better than that.

Sorry it's not 100% right OLL, but seeing it's 16/19 stations inclusive, which do have two words, i feel it's worth a mention:

The London Overground London Euston-Watford Junction local stopping shuttles are what i'm talking about:

London Euston
South Hampstead
Kilburn High Road
Queens Park
Kensal Green
Willesden Junction

Harlesden
Stonebridge Park
Wembley Central
North Wembley
South Kenton

Kenton
Harrow & Wealdstone
Headstone Lane
Hatch End
Carpenders Park

Bushey
Watford High Street
Watford Junction

I'm sure there must be more than this. There's at least one other service on my routes that would fit the bill.

Plus it can be more than two words. Two is just the minimum.

There are a few peak hour trains that run
Bristol Temple Meads
Lawrence Hill
Stapleton Road
Filton Abbey Wood
Bristol Parkway

You could also have the night time CrossCountry services that just call at
Bristol Temple Meads
Bristol Parkway
Cheltenham Spa
Birmingham New Street

There's also the Southern service from Watford
Watford Junction
Harrow & Wealdstone
Kensington Olympia
West Brompton
Clapham Junction
East Croydon
Gatwick Airport

Could the one O L Leigh be referring to be the London Liverpool Street to Enfield Town service? It's one that certaintly fits the bill
London Liverpool Street
Bethnal Green
Cambridge Heath
London Fields
Hackney Downs
Rectory Road
Stoke Newington
Stamford Hill
Seven Sisters
Bruce Grove
White Hart Lane
Silver Street
Edmonton Green
Bush Hill Park
Enfield Town

Not 100% correct, but 8/13 stations do have two words, i feel it's worth mentioning in this thread, if not, then it was still worth a try. Right?

The London Liverpool Street-Hertford East route of course!

London Liverpool Street
Hackney Downs
Tottenham Hale
Ponders End
Brimsdown
Enfield Lock
Waltham Cross
Cheshunt
Broxbourne
Rye House
St. Margarets
Ware
Hertford East

The 0714 Northern Service from Liverpool to Manchester Airport calls thus:

Liverpool Lime Street
Wavertree Tech Park
Lea Green
St. Helens Junction
Newton-le-Willows
Manchester Oxford Road
Manchester Piccadilly
Manchester Airport

New Brighton - New Brighton Merseyrail services would work if Moorfields didn't exist!
And Birmingham - Lichfield TV only has Aston and Erdington on most trains (most don't call at Shenstone and Duddeston)
