Virgin Pendolino 6 Beeps

Hi, Whenever im in first class on a pendolino, i hear 6 beeps every now and then. I have never been able to figure out what it is. Do any of you lot know?

I may be wrong with the 6 but its about every half hour. I assumed at first it was the disabled toilet alarm, but after a few times I thought that must be one dangerous toilet.

Yes it is in some sort of tune, low high, low high, low high

The tone you describe is the pass com going off, more commonly triggered in the toilet. Maybe it is a dangerous toilet.

Because most people think it's for other use, even though it has 'ALARM' printed above it.

Sounds to me like the pass com. On FGW HST's the pass com is often going off when people use the disabled toilet mistaking the pass com for something else. Last time it happened when I was on one I heard the passenger say that they mistook it for the soap dispenser.
