Slap University and New Street onto a 170 then. The 25 units (not including Dave) are being named specifically after each Cross City Line station - given this and that Soho LMD vinyl plaques are on all 26 units, I don’t see that happening.

217 is on soho today so may be named the next time it’s out in service. I shall keep a look outSaw 323211, 215 and 217 yesterday, all still unnamed. Those plus 209 are the 4 to be done I believe.

A friend claims to have seen outstanding name Gravelly Hill, but he can't remember which unit. Is anyone able to confirm as I have my doubts, but with 209 out of sight at Longsight currently, who knows.

Cheers, I will keep a eye out tooNo idea I only saw it from the side if I see it tomorrow I'll let you know
Yes, as per a LinkedIn article posted by Angel Trains, all four will be refurbished to the same standards as the other members of the WMR fleet. Will they refurbish the interior?
We recently saw our Class 172/1 units, formerly operated by Chiltern Railways move to West Midland Trains. Having moved to West Midlands, our vehicles will undergo a full interior refurbishment and upgrade to their Passenger Information System, significantly improving the passenger experience. The upgrade will also enhance operational functionality through new technology including Automatic Passenger Counting, Automatic Selective and Driver Controlled Door Operation, which will help reduce the time spent in stations. We look forward to seeing them in action on West Midland services!
When I’m back out on Wednesday, will keep a eye out. CheersThink its 104
Are there any photographs? It's definitely 172 104 now in WMR scheme
I will try and get some tomorrow when I’m out, doubt they will be any as many have stayed away due to the weatherAre there any photographs?
Excellent! Odd how the yellow continues under the windscreen unlike on the /0s. I shall be visiting Tyseley depot later today so I shall see if there are any more undergoing the same treatment.Seen it![]()

Edit: 172102 currently undergoing transformation. Each unit takes round 4 days to complete so should be finished in 2 weeks.
Can imagine it won’t be long until they’re sent back to Ilford for their full refurb - hopefully done in one shot this time rather than in stages!I wonder how long before they’re done inside too, as they’ve not got charging points unlike the others.
Id imagine it won’t be till after the commonwealth games and some sort of 196 introductionCan imagine it won’t be long until they’re sent back to Ilford for their full refurb - hopefully done in one shot this time rather than in stages!
