Might be an issue finding an E400 with a Tacho...
Don't there have any? What about E300?

Stagecoach Yorkshire and also stagecoach in Scotland have on occasion used Enviro 300 and 400s on megabus work, so must be some in the country with tachos they could transfer in?
Edit: 19093 19094 19095 all have tachos from when the X64 needed them.
To be honest it was a perfect storm of rail replacement on a Saturday, reasonable weather and the end of the £1 offer - those circumstances are never going to happen again, so I don't think full coaches are a serious concern for the time being.
Surprised they would have 2 off the road so soon. How come?Very fair points. Things to be considered....
- The Falcon has 2 out of the 8 coaches VOR.

Noted that 19093/94/95 are back at Exeter again with two in use today.
19093 was on 1a whilst 19095 was on 5a. 19094 was spare.
In their place noted 15666 on one of the X64 diagrams.
Cheers Mike R
19107 is also back at Exeter. In return 19569-72 (the ex Park & Ride vehicles) have gone to Torquay.
Ah I was wondering why the 13 had been upgraded this morning! Great seats on em, shame for the 39 though, made the drudgery of going through Bovey Tracey comfortable. Though I did see an none P&R liveried MMC doing the duties on Friday.
Rode out to Tavistock this morning going out on 10502 on the 1 and returning on 10497 on X1.
47088 was working the Town Service and 34607 was on the 87 to Bere Alston.
Thanks for that Laira - at least I know that 10502 is out and about. I too spent some time in Tavistock, on Saturday hoping to see 10502 as it has eluded me so far. I also need Plymouth Citybus Dart 205 which I had hoped to see but no joy.
Back to Stagecoach SouthWest. I notice that the new timetable for the 9/9A/X9, which replace the 4/4A/4B between Exeter and Honiton from 02-May-2016) is now on Traveline SouthWest.
Looks like quite a reasonable level of service although, in comparison between the 4/4A/4B and the 9/9A/X9, I notice two things:
- no evening buses to / from Honiton: the last departures between Honiton and Exeter are 1805 Exeter to Honiton and 1957 Honiton to Exeter. The late evening service gives one bus per hour between Exmouth and Sidbury. Honiton residents do, however, have an hourly train service which is probably faster than a bus.
- no service to / from Cranbrook but Cranbrook now has a station so residents there have an alternative provision for getting to / from Exeter.
HTIOI,
Dave
You're right. Just double-checked and I stand corrected. Post edited accordingly.I think you may have to check what the 9 is replacing, Dave
Hi,
See on Stagecoach South West Flickr site that 19065/19093/94/95 have moved to Barnstaple from Exeter.
Also a photo of 17053 on that site which suggests this Chard based Trident has been withdrawn recently (end of colledge term this Easter)
Also noted 17735/736 at Exeter last Saturday so wondered if these are moving on or just down for service while colledge holiday is on.
Cheers, MikeR
Ex Stagecoach West Belle 53611 has moved to Plymouth as a Falcon spare and is currently being repainted.
In other news, Tridents 17702/3/5-8 are due to move to Fife.
53611 seen in Plymouth earlier this week in Falcon colours.
I don't suppose you got a picture? Or indeed anyone else?![]()
Any idea if some of those newly ordered buses will be headed westwards? The last few Tridents in Torbay/ Exeter are probably up for replacement by new builds or cascades, right?
Rumored some new deckers for the 1 in Exeter are due this year.
