Well i have no idea then what you meant so maybe it is my reading comprehension.
Has anyone had a date for round 4 through?!

The only thing i meant with ten is you do the ball through the maze ten times or we did at opc.

So u made only 7 mistakes in 10 loops, that's pretty impressive. I reckon 3 mistakes a loop and you'll still pass. My recollection of that section of the day was the sheer mental fatigue. After having ur brain zapped by the flashing square and trying to stop ur hand uncontrollably twitching, it's on to the picturers which catch you cold, and then finally, with no break, the joysticks.

Oh no 7 loops i went out 3 loops i did not, but on one of the 7 i went out 4 times. As with all these tests they are not looking for perfection, i believe but do not quote me they also are looking to see when you go out the loop if you panic and end up playing ping pong, or if you calmly being them back in.

Hi guys,

I’ve had my email informing me on the time, date and location for stage 2 OPC testing.

Good luck to those of you still waiting! Fingers crossed for you all.

I'm booked in for the 5th at 9am. Anyone else on that day? Anyone on a different day? I'm gonna need yet another haircut and my suit has never seen so much action in such a short space of time!

Mine is Friday 8th at 9am.

Congratulations to everyone who has made it to Stage 4! :D

I must admit, I got goosebumps at the part of the email which tells us we’re in the Talent Pool after successfully passing this! I’m so excited! :D

Just need to get it off work now.

Just had a thought.....If they get the amount of people they need in this intake then is there a chance that those of us they told to wait until early next year might be told unfortunately its a no this time?

I wouldn’t worry.

I was told at interview that they were looking for a lot of people for the talent pool. :)
The group currently going through will not fill the spaces, and, it’s possible that your group wouldn’t quite either. (If the same amount of people get through yours too)
It seems the January 2018 course will empty the previous Talent Pool.

Furthermore, it is currently expected that everyone who enters the Talent Pool will be offered a start date in 2018 or 2019, with a few of us even filling the course in January 2018 if they have short notice periods. (There’s also another course in March)
I was told to just be patient if I’m successful!

I am certain that you will all still go through the process and ultimately into the Talent Pool if successful! :D

Yes, i was told all of the above too.

4 days of tests next week, six candidates on each. Like the holders of Willy Wonka's Golden tickets. EMT wanted enough people to fill the remaining people for January course and a whole load of people for the march course. Numbers judged to perfection. Got to hand it to EMT, the process has been Germanic in its efficiency and timekeeping. They then said 2 more courses are planned for the remainder of 2018, though this would be determined by demand.

Jan candidates have the advantage of the November candidates discussing the process on here of course.

And good luck to you MattVick, and everyone else too! :D You are spot on in what you've said! We've impressed EMT, so we just need to do the same with the OPC, and then it's onto a course in the not too distant future for us! <:D

I hope everyone is doing well with their prep work!

Yes, good luck. This last stage is not a competition, nor are they trying to trick us. Stay calm and positive (like a train driver should) and we should all be fine.

Chatted to someone in the know the other day. March course is definitely taking place for those successful this week, all bits like keys, bags etc ordered, just waiting on the successful candidates' shoe and waist sizes!!

First set have gone for final testing today, hope they have all done well. Can't wait to hear how they have found it. I am so worried with the flashcard one. I watched the Vienna video which shows a few examples from their company website and one of the examples they show is actually wrong. I have paused it on the picture and there is clearly a pedestrian there and when the answers flash up they don't show the pedestrian. Do you think they did that on purpose or just a genuine mistake.

Somebody told me or I read on here to prepare for these possible questions

DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU HAVE HAD TO FOLLOW RULES
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU’VE BEEN INVOLVED IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN IN TRAINING OVER TWO WEEKS OR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT
DESCRIBE A TIME WHEN YOU HAVE HAD TO WORK ALONE FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME
DESCRIBE A TIME YOU HAVE HAD TO SOLVE A DIFFICULT PROBLEM
GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF UNDERTAKING A ROLE SIMILAR TO TRAIN DRIVER

I have no idea if they are close but they seem good questions to prepare for

The list of options won't list everything that is in the picture, and will list more obvious things that you would be expected to notice in the split two seconds you have to look at the picture.
Out of the options you are presented with, you are just expected to highlight the ones you noticed. :)

yeah thats what i was told, the point i'm making is that in the example picture there is a pedestrian stood there as clear as day and that is one of the things that you are supposed to mark down if you see. I'm assuming that it was an example to show that not everything is seen like you say

All those sound right except give an example of a role similar to a train driver. I've sat 2 mmi and the last one isn't even a year old and I've never had that question. I think my 6th may have been something like give an example of a time you've communicated a message effectively

When I first attempted the MMI in 2014, I did get asked that last question (it was the one question which let me down too). The question asked about a ‘task’ as opposed to a ‘role’ though if I remember correctly.

I also got asked about providing great service despite facing difficulty (instead of working alone) and persevering to learn something (instead of the 2 week course question)

It seems they may regularly rotate the 6 questions from a pool.
