Ok so I just rang the opc to find out where I failed, it was the bourdon test and my accuracy was fine but it was my speed. I did fine on everything else but didn't meet the enhanced standard on the first rest but did pass the national standard.
Now I need to find a role that is national standard near me.
If anyone knows of anything in the Hertfordshire/north London area please let me know

Best of luck Dennymc, I'm sure you'll find a great job soon.

But I still don't know what the difference is between standard and enhanced on the bourdon tests. Is it the number of mistakes or the number of lines you do?

I think both.

The first time I did the test I know I did between 6 and 8 lines with no mistakes. Didnt know at the time about the standard and enhanced as the employer I now know took standard.

now I'm looking to move companies I have had to do it again and did between 10 and 11 lines. I read on one of these forums that enhanced was from 8 or 9 lines up so that's what I aimed for and was successful on this occasion.

It is both, I was told my accuracy was perfect but the amount of correct answers wasn't enough. They said to work on my speed but not to sacrifice accuracy to pass the enhanced.

Good evening all. I have my stage 2 this Friday, I failed some parts of it about 9 months ago. Does anyone happen to know if in the Glop test, its the same text used every time or does it differ?
Also I was wondering has anybody used the OPC website and purchased practise test for the glop test? If so was this useful?
Many thanks to anyone who takes the time.

It was about Glop, which is a solution applied to the railhead during low adhesion to improve grip and keep track circuits operating.
Why do you ask gooner?
Do you have any answers to my above questions? or do you just keep wanting to ask me questions about my previous experience.

For the Group Bourdon test with arriva is the 4 dot test?
In the practice material they sent out it has one where you have to pick a out an assigned letter (e.g. D) out of a bunch of letters and not the 4 dot one. Can anyone who has done the test with arriva confirm if the practice material example is the one they will be using.

Similarly for the TEA-Occ they have a different example to the standard "tone" test

Yes mate they are both different from the practice materials on the actual assessment day. It will be the dots not letters.

I know it’s still pretty early days, but just wondering if anyone has successfully completed/passed stage 2 and been given a DMI date yet?

Thanks, I gave it a go and hopefully get some feedback on where I went wrong.
The hope is still alive, I will try again
Do you remember how many questions you managed to answer for the dfft.. I've just done it and managed about 9 which is dreadful imo

I'm surprised the content of the glop test has not been made available somewhere on the internet yet.

It's the same one they've used for the last 9 years at least.

Either the OPC are good at forcing those that share it to remove it from their site or it's very well hidden.

I would've thought the 'how to become' gang would definitely have it.

Might be a silly question, but if you pass MMI does that count towards other TOCs like the assessments do?

Or is it a separate company to company, and does it count towards the two strike rule, I know the DMI is different.
