Anyone heard back since completing the online application? Thank you
Good luck pal, keep us updatedNew to the forum, I applied and got a "Thank you for your interest in ARL", I'll wait and see what happens next!
I bought some software called ‘how2become’ train driver. If you go on that website how2become theres a few things that are quite helpful( i found anyways). They are a lot easier them the real thing BUT they get you some practice in. I would offer to send you over the files, but I'm on holiday for 2 weeks, so you might be better off asking around on this forum. Someone will have themHi congratulations on passing all your tests, I was just wondering for stage 1 how did you prepare for the tea occ ? I feel confident with the gb and dfft but I haven't done any practice for the tea occ so that is the test that I am most worried about.
Hi Guys, I heard from Arriva the outcome of my result.
I failed the first stage of assessment.
Group Bourdon Test : Passed
TEA-OCC : Fail
DFFT : Pass
SJT : -
I really don't understand why they don't say anything for SJT.
When I took my TEA-Occ there was a meeting held next door and the walls are not sound proofing I got distracted and told the assessor in directly. Do you think I can make a complaint?
Thanks
Hi Guys,
I have an Trainee Driver stage 1 assessment next week. In the email it says this session will include:
2 concentration tests, a fault finding test and a situational judgement test.
I have read on the forum that stage 1 includes the following:
Group bourdon test
TEA-OCC
DFFT
SJT
How are these linked with the email? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Well the email is linked because there is 2 concentration tests, fault finding and sjt.
GB & tea-occ are concentration.
Dfft is fault finding
Sjt is sjt
What do most people fail on out of the 4 tests? I only have like 4 days to prepare !

Theres nothing that's most failed on, statistically it may be GBT but each test is as difficult as the next. Don't neglect practicing all test equally just to focus on the more "difficult" assessment.
Trainability for Rules and Procedures Part 1 (TRP1)Hi guys,
I have an arriva stage 2 test coming up.
In the email it says the following tests.
a trainability test, a reaction test, a criteria based interview and a personality questionnaire.
Does anyone have the name of these tests and any practice material that may be helpful.
Thank you
Thank you do you have any practice material on this ?

I can’t remeber exactly what questions there were but I do recognise some for example i defo got
A role similar to train driving there was also a question about achieving something (greatest achievement)
Emergency procedure
Working under pressure
Rules and procedures
And if I can remember something along the lines of falling something and overcoming it
Good luck if you get to the MMI umm I would say always relate it to you life experiences defo use STAR so you have structure if you lie and start waffling they’ll start picking you out asking you extra questions they can defo tell
