That doesn't prove that these specific vehicles have actually been upgraded/retrofitted/converted though.Other than Lothian stating quite clearly that the buses used will be Euro 6... which they now are.

That is true, however i'm sure it has been mentioned previously here by reliable sources prior that they have been converted. Additional i doubt a company with the repute of Lothian would lie about buses being Euro 6, especially given they went screaming to the local Councillors about it!
Reliable sources? You do realise anyone can join a forum and claim to work at whatever company and say anything. That doesn't make it reliable.
https://lothiancountry.co.uk/changes-to-our-services-from-19-november/
Quoted from their press release where Lothian themselves state the vehicles are Euro 6...
"This service will operate up to every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, and every 30-minutes on a Sunday. It will operate using high quality low emission Euro 6 vehicles, reducing emissions and offering an enhanced customer experience."
Again, i doubt a company with the repute of Lothian would lie about buses being Euro 6.
Yes, I can read. They could quite easily say they are Euro 6 as I highly doubt your average punter is going to be able to tell if the bus actually has been converted.
You can believe that if you want, but i doubt Lothian would claim vehicles are Euro 6 when they aren't.
why do you need to moan about literally everything? every forum you’re on whether it be here or first glasgow you’re always moaning and doubting thingsAs I said, they could claim anything about the vehicles as joe bloggs punter isn't going to be able to tell the difference. The service hasn't even started yet and people seem to have just assumed that those B7RLEs are for the X38. For all we know they could plan on using the Leopard Interurbans or even have new vehicles on the cards. I'm not one of these people who believe everything that's spoon-fed to them on an internet forum. IF they have been converted then It's quite likely there will be some differences visible on the vehicles to show this.

Because I've had my fingers burned far too many times believing things on forums just for them to turn out to be nonsense...

Glad I'm not the only one that has noticed this I've seen plenty of great, accurate info on here and very rarely anything wrong from anyone
Once again, no one is spoon feeding anyone. Do you get spoon fed? You seem to be obsessed with making that claim. Anyone with common sense can tell a reliable source and a troll apart, it's not rocket science. If you don't trust said sources then that's your problem.
While there are rumours that go about, just because something didn't happen it doesn't mean it's nonsense. There's many cases where there can be plans to do something but it gets delayed or called off for any number of reasons.
Leave him to it. Everyone is allowed to live in their own reality, it's just some realities are a fantasy!
Considering Lothian have said it, it would be a rather odd thing to lie about. After all, I doubt most people even know what Euro 6 is.
Carries a potentially big reputational issue if it wasn't true as well (e.g. EEN headlines like "LOTHIAN BUSES LIE ABOUT EMISSIONS") - especially with all the focus they put on their Bus2020 plan.
Why on earth would there be any visible difference? My understanding is that the conversion process from Euro 5 to Euro 6 involves replacing various parts of the exhaust system. I'm more than happy to be corrected if my understanding is wrong, but even if they removed the original engine and replaced it with another, it's very unlikely that there will be any significant external difference. As I said, they could claim anything about the vehicles as joe bloggs punter isn't going to be able to tell the difference. That looks quite nasty. Looks can be deceiving of course but...
Not my photo, the original poster should PM me if they want it removed.
So take the information, and if it comes true, then it comes true. It's not like you're going to lose money on it! Some folk on here work within the company, and thus know the game from the inside. When you get to see things written by certain people over and over again that have came true in the past, you can judge them then if they can be trusted more, or not but that is up to you.Because I've had my fingers burned far too many times believing things on forums just for them to turn out to be nonsense...

are there any photos of it?It is quite bad. Having seen other photos pretty much the whole rear is destroyed.
Just as their hype on their web site re the new services. It doesn't say much about all the cuts in Livingston and Bathgate areas in both services and frequencies at night and weekends. So they are not mentioning fares as they probably be in line with their fare zones i.e. £2.70 from Kirkliston to Edinburgh and £3.70 from Winchburgh with no returns
Not sure how accurate it is, but the Traveline Scotland journey planner now has fare information and it shows £3.70 for Kirkliston.
