Possibly. The first move is on the way approximately 25 late.
Etches Park.Are the EMR 180’s going to be kept being maintained at Crofton or will Etches Pk be taking them on?
to bad there changing there class 171s to 170s
Thanks. So they are not needing to use the HST set any more then I guess2 of their 5 802s are now in service, and they still have 2 of their 180s, so they are in the same position in terms of number of units as they've been for a long time. I don't think their 3rd 802 is far off coming into service either

Good point re PRM-TSI!Whether they need to or not, they can't run it anymore as they don't have a PRM-TSI derogation for it! Getting rid of 2x 180s and the HST effectively all at once, whilst only gaining 2 802s is possibly a bit risky, but the 802s should be much more reliable than the 180s!
The HSTs went back to GWR in late December I believeThanks. So they are not needing to use the HST set any more then I guess
Given they’re effectively the same as the GWR and TPE units I’m not surprised - probably ironed out the teething issues on the HT units considering they’re all FirstGroup companies with similar design specsWhether they need to or not, they can't run it anymore as they don't have a PRM-TSI derogation for it! I saw 4 x 153/156 EMR carriages at arriva traincare today. Too dark to see details. Anyone know why they're there?
4 x 153 units have transferred to TfW, 153310/326 after a short stint with West Midlands and 153313/321 which moved earlier in the week.
Ah thanks for the info there. Are the 4 permanently transferred to TfW?
Temporarily with TfW until the 769s enter service but I doubt they’re returning to EMR by this point.
Thanks for that. Looks like I'll be getting single carriages more on EMR Crewe route instead of 2 or 3.
156s from Greater Anglia are being drafted in to replace the 153s over the next few months, which will ultimately be replaced (along with the 158s) by Turbostars.Thanks for that. Looks like I'll be getting single carriages more on EMR Crewe route instead of 2 or 3.
No, EMR have sad there will be no more single carriage trains operated alone
They’re allowed to do it on Derby - Crewe, Newark - Grimsby, and Doncaster to Peterborough. A single ran on a Crewe diagram yesterday.
Apologies if this has been discussed already;
Is there a particular reason why EMR are looking at total replacement of their Class 158 fleet?
And is my understanding correct that when all trains have been delivered or transferred, there will only be 170s, 360s and 804s in the fleet?So that the regional side will eventually operate a 100% 170 fleet.

a lot of them going to northern i believe(which is a shame, EMR 158's are in good nick)Apologies if this has been discussed already;
