175105 is out in new livery!
150253 has been seen out in passenger service today, working between Barry island to Merthyr Tydfil. I have just seen a few photos on facebook.
Should be 818. It was sent down from Shrewsbury yesterday for the trip.Looks like we got a 158 off to Doncaster

wasnt this with the 143s which are now out of service153906 has today run as 5Z53 from Canton to Landore. Not 100% as to the reason but hopefully it could be the first of the 153/9 'PRM light' refurbs.
158s left to do i believe are 823-828/832/836/837/840.what 158s havent received the interior refurb i dont think theres many left but definitely one in front of me which hasnt

Theyve had an extension to Dec 31st but should all be 'PRM-Lite' ie no toilet well before then. With all of the focus on the withdrawal of TfW's 143s, it's easy to forget that TfW have a good number of un-compliant 153s as well, which it has been using to strengthen services.
Will all of TfW's unmodified 153/9s have to be withdrawn on Monday, or is there an extension for those?
Thanks for the quick reply!Theyve had an extension to Dec 31st.

Not sure when the 4 extras (918,968,972,982) are going.
thanks im not sure of unit number as have now left station and omw home from work but its on the Carmarthen pembroke dock shuttle one of only a few waiting will be good to wee them all looking smart and ship shape158s left to do i believe are 823-828/832/836/837/840.
That post was from early April. 906 went down then, 926 is also there and 921 went today. Presumably one will head back soon if another has arrived.
I'm well out of touch, clearly, at the moment with what's going on and what isn't, so apologies if this is a silly question:
The PRM-lite ones, are they only therefore allowed to operate with other PRM-full trains?
It's been forever and a week since I genned up on TfW, I've seen the 769s are getting there at last though
I believe so. None are out yet so not entirely sure what the procedure will be with them but i would presume its the same as the other 153/9s which always run with a 150, 153/3 or a 158.
82229 + 4 Mark IV's + 67010 passed through Bangor earlier, on test or just E. C. S?
Commenced service today and then TfW confirm they are taking on the ex GC sets to operate as 5 car sets from Manchester Picc to Swansea from Dec 2022 after a period of refurbishment
Will that cover all of the Pic-Swansea diagrams? Because if not, there will be a very bizarre mixture of formations on there: Civities, which will be shiny and new but still commuter/regional DMUs at heart (and depending upon who you ask pretty bad ones), alongside rakes of Mk4s to proper intercity specification but almost 3 decades older.Commenced service today and then TfW confirm they are taking on the ex GC sets to operate as 5 car sets from Manchester Picc to Swansea from Dec 2022 after a period of refurbishment
I think most people will be happy with a bizarre mixture of formations if it means a better chance of getting a seat. It's not exactply uniform now with a mix of 150/153/158/175s in use. Will that cover all of the Pic-Swansea diagrams? Indeed - I wasn't saying it would be a problem, just that it would be interesting and slightly odd!I think most people will be happy with a bizarre mixture of formations if it means a better chance of getting a seat. It's not exactply uniform now with a mix of 150/153/158/175s in use.

Don't count your chickens....great to see tfw taking on more mark 4 coaches as the 170s are supposed to being all sublet to another operator which implies west wales will get the new 197s
