Next week I'll be able to enter the sacred halls of the senior railcard holder. I'm just wondering if there are any discounts available on the price of the railcard.

I try to go down the Tesco Clubcard route for a Railcard. For a one year Senior Railcard, full price £30, if you had them, £10 worth of Clubcard vouchers would be my answer!

Many thanks. I think we do have some vouchers already I think so I will check.
Edit: Just checked. We have £12 worth of vouchers so that'll cover it.

Booking opens Monday 13th march, with the offer being available 20-24 march.

Use code CHOOSEDAY on app or website for the offer.

Thanks for this. Got a day trip to Cov sorted. For the pub of course

Hi - i am hoping to make use of airtime rewards, nectar connect and Natwest Rewards to stack offers on LNER.

Only issue, I can't see any offers in my natwest rewards account, nor in Nectar Connect.

I have attached the card to nectar connect a few days ago and there is not a single offer showing up - does it take several days or have the LNER offers been withdrawn. I can't seem to see any cashback offers on Natwest rewards either, or even the % for any websites. I am currently using 10% on my american express but this is about to expire unfortunately.

If anyone could shed some light on the best way to play it that would be much appreciated, I am happy to change banks too if necessary e.g. if another bank more consistently has LNER offers. I just got this Natwest account specifically for this so its a nightmare its not working (although i did get a nice £200 switch bonus at least!).

For my Nectar it took a week before offers started showing on the Nectar Connect.
Thanks, hopefully should be working soon for me!

Natwest live chat seem unable to tell me the % for a single retailer, let alone LNER. For anyone with Natwest do these offers show up in the Myrewards website or just happen automatically and get applied as Myrewards credit?

cheers

Assuming that you have an offer with the retailer, you get the offer automatically

Same with NatWest it took a few days for my reward offers to start showing on the rewards website.

For anyone who does use Tesco Clubcard vouchers to purchase a Railcard, it may be worth noting that from 14th June 2023, Tesco vouchers are going to be worth 2X instead of the current 3X. So, whilst £10 worth of vouchers are currently required for a Railcard costing £30, from 14th June 2023, it will be necessary to redeem £15 worth of Clubcard vouchers for a Railcard costing £30. The validity of codes orderd from 17th March 2023 to 13th June 2023 will be extended from 6 months to 12 months.

Offers are personalised. You don't always get the same ones as other people. I didn't get Virgin Trains Ticketing one month, when other people using the same system did, but got it the next month.

On my Lloyds everyday offers, I see there is an entry for Avanti West Coast with 5% cashback. I've not seen Avanti pop up on Lloyds before, might try to buy some tickets from Avanti to get something back

I just went on my airtime rewards and it seems to be suggesting that the LNER cashback has been reduced to 5% and only for purchases over £70. Can anyone confirm if this is a global thing or if they decrease the offer after a certain amount of cashback (as I have got about £25 from this offer in the past month)

I think last time we discussed Airtime Rewards / LNER most replies said the reward they were getting was, like mine, 5%, so your 8% was likely to drop at some point though I certainly haven't got the added stipulation of not getting anything unless the spend is £70 or more.

I got the expected 5% on a purchase from LNER a few days ago, on a purchase of under £50.

Uber app currently offering 10% cashback (in Uber credits) when you book Eurostar tickets through Uber.

Not tried it, and not going to, though - Uber's initial implementation of UK rail ticketing was laughable.

Trip.com, whom I haven't heard of before the ad appeared on Facebook, are offering digital railcards for £5.99.
Is this too good to be true?

Edit: I just noticed is also requires you to book a hotel room.

They're registered in Singapore and having spoken to their customer service, they see themselves as being like eBay, where the products on the website aren't their responsibility. A hotel I booked through them moved my booking to an alternative hotel. I only found out when I arrived at the hotel I actually booked. I contacted Trip.com and explained what had happened and their response was along the lines of "And your point is?"

Sounds like one to avoid.
I'll buy my railcard using Tesco clubcard points before they reduce in value.
