New Street services formed of 805s should stop at Watford, MK and Rugby before Coventry.
Not sure what diagrams are officially allocated and confirmed yet.
There's already 4.5 mins of engineering and pathing allowances between Euston and Crewe- so as long as there isn't any major TSR, and they can be driven flat out (like they stole em) - then the delay should be minimal.
According to my reckoning, the following are 805 worked Monday to Friday (if stick to diagram)
1202 Euston to Chester, 1502 Euston to Holyhead, 1702 Euston to Hoyhead and 2002 Euston to Holyhead.
return workings are
648 Holyhead to euston, 920. Chester to Euston, 853 Holyhead to euston, 1248 Holyhead to euston and 1732 Chester to Euston.

Three units (2x805, 1x221) appear to stable overnight at Holyhead (HHD), but only two (the 0548 221 and 0648 805) appear to leave in the morning.
The 0648 can't be a double set from HHD as it attaches a set at Chester.

Thank you - no-one had previoiusly listed the three Euston - Birmingham- Euston workings. The platform information at Euston clearly can't be relied on to identify which outward service is formed from which inward one!
Is there any indication as to when the MU signs might start being unbagged? One would hope sooner than later to actually get the most out of the 805s if they're coming into service!

As reported upthread, seemingly won't be happening for the timetable change. Therefore the 80x will be running at the PS limits and consequently there are some minor adjustments to timings to compensate.

There are three ECS paths from Oxley to Chester on Sunday 2nd, which then form the 1014, 1332 and 1432* to Euston.
I'd have thought there was a good chance these are the positioning runs for three 805 sets.
* this is added at Chester to a unit from Holyhead, which might mean the 1036 Crewe-Holyhead, forming the 1248 Holyhead-Euston, is also an 805.
The 1036 from Crewe also has an ECS path from Oxley.
All speculation on my part from RTT data.
The first departure from Chester reaches Euston at 1237, and forms the 1302 back to Holyhead - maybe the first 805 passenger working to/from Euston.
There is also a 0905 Holyhead-Central Rivers ECS working, which looks like the exit of a Voyager set.

Is it possible to do the first departure on the Levenmouth branch and then rush over to do a Class 805 service on the same day? I already made plans to stay for two nights at Levenmouth when the opening date for the extension was announced almost a hundred days ago, but I could probably cancel staying on Sunday night and book a last-minute ticket to Birmingham for one of the first Class 805 journeys on Sunday after doing the inaugural Levenmouth branch journey, or do the first one on Monday morning.

There are replacement buses running between Edinburgh and Carlisle on Sunday. The first train from Leven arrives at Edinburgh at 0940. Going via Glasgow gets you to Crewe at 1500, missing the third Chester to Euston service (assuming the workings mentioned in post 2146 are 805-worked) by five minutes (1432 from Chester, 1455 from Crewe)
You can however get to Kings Cross at 1432, a full hour before the 1332 from Chester gets to Euston so you would have plenty of time to pick it up on its return north.
I mean driven flat out within the posted limits as signals and railhead conditions, defensive driving policies allow - which does definitely happen in the real world - especially noted on late running trains where driver is keen to get to the end of their shift.
If my reading of the timetable is correct then there is space in the timetable to add up to 8 minutes between Euston and Colwich on some diagrams ahead of the Euston to Manchester via Stoke service. This is in addition to engineering allowances etc.
Haven't checked the up paths yet to see how this might work.
If yesterdays 8:02 test run to Preston is anything to go by, then approx 10 minutes extra required to reach Crewe albeit with a stop at Nuneaton instead of Stafford, but importantly cleared Colwich around 5 min ahead of the following Manchester service. Will the retimings to Crewe result in a shorter stop at Chester to maintain the North Wales scheduled timings. I'm assuming the long dwell at Chester is to allow for coupling / uncoupling of units.
