My son works for Stena, had extensive training. First off vessel, then on. This included firefighting, lifeboats, first aid etc. Also stays to one vessel due to changes in different classes. All are recruited in the counties they serve.

The current pound makes exporting much cheaper currently. If it does stay at this level I can see why companies would look at manufacturing in the UK for export. But orders for UK stock must be near peak levels and will decline as such.
The bus service was lost between the two along the road corridor. How can this jusifly a rail link?? Even freight will struggle to support such a link. Hope to be proved wrong though.
Just by chance, spotted the Northern Belle on Weaver Viaduct approaching the Frodsham Junction onto the curve towards Liverpool this morning ( Friday 06:50).
Apart from the seasonal parliamentary service, what else travels over the link towards Liverpool??
