Another excellent picture.
Many thanks, greatly appreciated:)

Love that pic @sjpowermac You must have been further down platform 3 as I was filming from just passed the station overbridge
Many thanks, I’m pleased you like it:)
I hope I didn’t get in your video as I sprinted off to Scarborough Bridge!;)

Thank you very much for posting the workings first thing this morning, that got the day off to a good start!

Most of the issues are software related. Only one loco until recently had the correct (latest) software fitted hence why the others running are having recurring ETS faults. This is in motion to be updated on the other locos but needs CAF and DRS to sort it together.

Apart from that, looks like things are slowly coming together.

Had a visit today to MID and it was very interesting!
Can report that TP08 was on the shed with 68021 attached as the set loco and 68024 was attached to the DT end.

Had it whispered to me today that TP12 will make it's first appearance on Monday alongside TP09....
I think you’ve just turned a whisper into a shout there;)

Is TP12 still paired with 68030?

With the amount of crew training going on, and more sets becoming available, things are really coming together nicely:)

Is that a genuine/official modification?

Long gone are the days when most loco - stock compatability issues could be solved with a judicious knock from a large hammer, it seems. :p

On1E25 this morning from Huddersfield to Leeds, scheduled 0800 departure, but arrived about 17 late, so the platform was full, and Coach A was full and standing on departure.

Noteworthy that the dwell time was extended by 90 seconds owing to the high loading and single doors.

I think the quote below is well worth a read. Better to be ‘90 seconds’ over the booked dwell time and safe...
Also worth bearing in mind that colleagues (drivers, guards, dispatchers, and everybody else) are being a little slower than normal with this new train, as from a safety perspective it's critical to get it right, first time, every time. I would never tell any of my colleagues to be quicker, especially when performing safety critical duties on unfamiliar traction. With time, they'll feel more confident and it will become easier for people to not think through every process in full before attending to the safety element. What I would say though, is that I'm immensely proud of the colleagues I've seen over the last few days and I think it's been echoed on this forum already.

I'd imagine TPE are regretting not having ordered a homogeneous fleet of 80x, though I understand the reason for the split which due to the delays has not really brought benefit.
One of the bidders did propose a completely homogenous fleet across North/South/Scottish services. Their temporary stop gap measure did however include 68s

The 13:56 from Lime Street is like a magical mystery tour. The guard announced that it was originally going as far as Victoria due to a crew shortage but may now be going to Scarborough. He then said we'll wait and see what happens at Victoria. Ha ha. Am only going to Lea Green so happy days for me.

Just observation after doing the same run on a Mark 5 set and then a 185. The Mark 5 is a firmer ride but the 185 rocks and rolls all over the place. That would be Lea Green to Lime Street.

Seems like a guard was found to work forwards from Vic, but nobody for the return from Scarborough to Liverpool.
