Does anyone know what is involved with OHE works on the Clacton branch? Going on overnight at the moment. Are they being replaced or just repaired? - there's some hefty machinery involved apparently.

It looks like platform one at Huntingdon, the bay platform doesn't see any scheduled services now. How did Northbound trains enter the platform previously on services such as the 16.22 that used to run from Kings Cross? Where are the crossovers?

Watching a video of a brand new 321/3 on test in 1988, I remembered the very first units had a poor quality first class section which caused an uproar by disgruntled passengers on the GE. The window layout with two identical windows shows this, I'm sure the spacing of the seats was one issue...

Sorry this has probably been asked before but just thinking after seeing GWR getting their short HSTs together. How much fuel does, say, an HST use vs a short HST vs a sprinter? And how does the cost compare to electric? Can they be measured in MPG? (or GPM?)
