Are 67s still doing Manchester to Holyhead?

    I'm probably not very well informed, but...
    Travelling on the set the other day I noticed that there was the 'do not use in stations' sign in the lavatory, presumably meaning that the coaches are still track discharge. Possibly the 1.1.20 obligation has been formally avoided, but I've seen no reference to it.
    It's hard to work out from enthusiasts' publications which coaches have CEM, but I thought that the DRS coaches used in Cumbria, for instance, were so fitted and assumed that the TfW ones, also refurbished, had also been modified.

    The original plan was for the MkIVs to be in service by now, so TfW wouldn't have planned to get CET tanks fitted to the MkIIIs. It'll probably be covered by the short term PRM dispensation.

    These are Mark 3 non-compliant coaches which will be withdrawn from service when ex LNER Mark 4s come into service hopefully in May after some modifications, gauging and crew training are complete. They have been granted dispensation until 30 June

    Thanks for the quick replies; I had, obviously wrongly, formed the opinion that the Mk 4 sets were for the Holyhead - Cardiff axis and the Manchesters would stay with the present set. Interesting if they re-introduce 1st class on this route, or keep the FO locked.
    By the way, one of the Mk3s (12182 or 5, I think) is showing its age - the filler has fallen out of a few dents showing rust patches.

    The Mark 4s are intended for the Cardiff to Holyheads and the Manchester should go over to DMU (175)

    You were partially correct: the MkIVs are intended for Holyhead-Cardiff in the end, and the Manchester services will revert to DMU operation (with 175s released from the Holyhead-Cardiff route). But with delays to clearing MkIVs for the Marches, the first rake may end up on Manchester services in the short term, as suggested by recent clearance runs.

    67001 at Warrington Bank Quay, this week, forming the 1650 Manchester Piccadilly to Llandudno (Wednesday 12 Feb).
