How are 63 units going to be PRM modded in 10 months...?!
they will still need to be PRM modded to continue service in 2020 either way, with or without toilets, and they are 13 of the 63 units that need to be done in the next 10 months... how, I'd love to know! Will they bother giving the 153s arriving PRM mods this year or will they use them as needed now and then next year just attach them to 150s to strengthen services until they get modded long term?
There are two designations showing on the list - row 796 shows a listing for "Diesel Multiple Unit Class 142" being added in 2013 as a class designation; but, row 907, added in 2016, specifically states "Class 142 Diesel Multiple Unit 142 001".For clarity (if a bit off topic in this thread), the NRM has designated 1x 142, not necessarily 142001. They will obviously be looking for the one that will require the least amount of money to get up to a standard for display.
150284 is now back in service in blue livery. That should ease the stock shortages in the valley a bit! Only 34? 150 units to go now.
I saw 284 in person in Carmarthen the other day and took some exterior photos which I will post soon!See Post #862
not really "only 34", and with 15 unmodified 158s remaining, plus supposedly all what-will-be 13 153s also staying until 2023 according to two people who told me, that's 62 units to be PRM modified in now less than 10 months, which surely is impossible?!150284 is now back in service in blue livery. wow, that means it should hopefully re-run there though!Class 769 Flex unit for delivery to Cardiff Canton was due to be loco hauled from Brush Loughborough today. Apparently the drag loco turned up but the run was cancelled at the last minute.
even though the reduced capacity is only temporary until the 769s arrive, which judging by an attempted delivery of the first unit, should be soon...?Somebody tweeting on an early morning Maesteg worked by one of the PRM 150s complaining about seats being reduced during the process at a time when more capacity is required.
I've seen on Twitter that a refurbed 150 was on the Wrexham to Bidston line today. The person put 52285 as the unit number but that doesn't seem right to me.
That will 150285 (or half of it)
That's the carriage number (for example, on Sprinters these are 52/57xxx numbers), and as 158820 said it's a part of 150285.
although I doubt any are on the scale of TfW's
EMT also faces woe with a lot of 153s and HSTs. Theres no way nothing can happen and large areas are left with no trains in 10 months time.Including the 150s due from WMT, Northern have 83 diesel units (and if the 323s stay, 17 electric units) which need PRM modifications.
Unsure why its there but 3-car 175105 is currently in the yard at Alstom Widnes.
Never seen anything other than 390s there.
and power sockets I believe. They are going there for repainting. So maybe that'll be the first to be done.

oh fair enoughThey already have 1! How many more do they need?
(Only saying this because after a fair few years of driving them, I’ve only just found out where it is in the saloon!!)

2 actually - but the location of the one in Coach A is a state secret
Haha, that’s the one I know of!! Where’s the other???
