In an emergency turnback situation it might be a bit optimistic but remember under normal circumstances Paddington is one of many stations and won't have the proportional loadings normally associated with a London terminus, especially not at peak time.Detraining a 200m long train in 2.5 minutes is a pretty good feat.
Also bear in mind the metro nature of the interior and 3 sets of doors per vehicle. If a 130m tube train can detrain, change ends and set off in 90 seconds, 2m30 for Crossrail seems perfectly doable.
