We are now on the Edinburgh and Bathgate Railway, where that station named above is on (it has also been named Broxburn prior to closure) and attached to my hard copy draft is a "queried" note stating three closed stations prior to that:-
Livingston (1st station ... 1849-1948)
Dechmont
Uphall (1st station ... 1849-1956).....It may have also been known as Houston
Let us now continue, after those, on the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway.....
Ratho
Remenber that from here, we travel in the Glasgow direction.
Bathgate (Upper) (1849 to 1956)
(Noting that this station was about 300 yards north west of the western end of the current station, not 150 yards south of the eastern end as stated in the Wikipedia entry)
I have amended the Wikipedia entry accordingly
Not so, as that station was situated quite some way past Cowlairs Junction, that leads to the next line on this journey ... City of Glasgow Union Railway.Cowlairs?
